I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

October 2008

I've heard everyone else saying it, so I figured I may as well join them and started to call Maggie, Mag Pie.

I helped grandpa get hay for the horses. While mommy was giving me a bath today, I was busy entertaining myself by doing the actions to Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. I love singing time in nursery at church and love to do the actions to all of the songs. I was playing with mommy's phone and she couldn't find it, so she called it to be able to find it. When she finally found it, it was in the seat of my toy car where I like to stores my treasures :). I have started to try to put my clothes on all by myself, I usually get my shirt on my legs and my pants over my head, I suppose it's a long road to self sufficiency. Grandpa took me on a four wheeler ride and I loved it! So now I want him to take me on it all of the time. I also love to be outside. When I'm hungry I open my mouth and points inside of it, it works, they know what I want, and I don't have to say a word :). Mommy previously noted that I say thank you now and would like to add that I even uses it appropriately.

For my diaper changing entertainment today, I covered my eye and said, “Where Sadie!” I can play peek-a-boo all by myself :).

Mommy couldn't find Molly this morning, when she found her outside, her leg was broken. So mommy took her into the vets and verified that it was broken. They said that at her age it would be very difficult for her to heal from it if at all. Mommy had to do what was best for Molly and had her put to sleep. When grandpa got home from work he dug a hole for her and we buried her next to mommy's dog Penny by the apple tree in the back yard. Mommy said that she was the best dog a girl could ask for and that she was lucky to have her in her life and that she couldn’t have asked for more than Molly gave.

Mommy and I drove up to McCall to paint pumpkins with mommy's cousin Travis and his family. It was my first pumpkin painting experience and I think I did pretty darn good for a first timer.

This morning, I got Molly’s jacket out of the closet and was looking for her, calling her name and patting my leg. Mommy told me that she was sorry but Molly was gone. I said, "All gone" and mommy said, "Yes baby, all gone."

Mommy cut my nails today and when she was done, I took the clippers and acted like I was clipping my baby doll’s nails, I'm just trying to be a good little mommy.

We flew to Utah so I can see daddy. When I saw him, I ran to him with her arms open and my little backpack bouncing along.

I was on mommy's bed in the morning and climbed off. Uncle James's dog PJ had pooped on the floor and so I picked it up and was saying "poo poo" and sounded really upset. I think if you had poop in your hand you would sound a little upset too.

I got dressed up for Halloween like the most adorable lady bug that ever was. Grandma and mommy took me around to show me off and take Halloween treats to some people. At one of the stops some kids came trick or treating and I noticed that they had buckets they were getting candy in, so I grabbed the nearest bucket I could find and wanted candy in it, although my bucket was a regular bucket and the other kids were more of a Halloween themed bucket, oh well it did the job.
