I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

December 2012

I had a play date with Elliana and mom took us to a Fancy Nancy tea party at the library! I had such a good time!

I saw it with daddy, but it was so good that I wanted to see it with mommy too, so she took me to  Rise of the Guardians. It was just as good the second time around!

Today, mom made me some play date cards to give to parents of kids I wants to have a play date with. I'm so excited to hand them out to my friends tomorrow and have play dates! It doesn't hurt that the cards are soooo cute too!

When we got home today, we made rice crispy treats because I've been on a rice crispy treat kick lately. I didn't like them as much as the store bought ones though because they were "too sugary". Mom doesn't believe there is any such thing as too sugary.

I had my first play date from the cards I handed out! Mom and I met with Ashley and her mom for ice cream. Yum! From there we went to grandma and grandpa's for St. Nicholas day tomorrow.

We had St. Nicholas Day, it was a lot of fun! I even got to have a play date Marlie. That made a good day even better! And she had a sleepover too!

I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and threw up until after 11:00 in morning :(. Then I slept most of the day.

When mom got me up this morning, she asked me how I felt and if I wanted to go to school. I said that I felt "all the way better" and wanted to go to school.

Mommy took me to my last dentist appointment. When we got home she got into bed because she's got the stomach flu. I had no mercy on her though. I made a mess over the living room making paper dolls. It looked like a tornado hit the living room. Then I proceeded to throw a few tantrums, cry about silly things that can only be attributed to being female, and screamed for mommy while she was throwing up. The next day mommy still didn't feel that well and gave me a talking to about how I should behave when someone is really sick. So when we got home, I got mommy a grocery bag to throw up in if she needed it. Very thoughtful of me :).

Clancy and Randi came over for dinner and we played on the Xbox kinect. We had so much fun!

When we got home from our day, we made candied almonds together. I'd never had them before and committed to trying one. I liked it a little bit, but I like chocolate chip cookies a lot.

We stopped and got ice cream on our way home. When we got home, we watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas. When Cindy Lou asks the Grinch posing as Santa what the meaning of Christmas was and he says presents, I said, "It's about Christmas spirit and believing. Everyone knows that."

Mom, grammy, and grandpa went to my Christmas program this morning. When it was over, they I had a day of fun with grammy and grandpa. Then they took me to their house to spend the rest of the week there!

It's Christmas eve and mommy took me to Fawn's Fudge for ice cream. It was really fun to go there again and get to see all the people the help us when we are there :). I also got some new snow boots since it snowed for the first time this season yesterday.

We had a very good Christmas today, it was really fun getting to find out what name everyone had drawn for Christmas. Grammy had me, but I already figured that out when I saw box wrapped in princess wrapping paper in her closet. Mommy and I played some Kinect together and had fun. While mommy was doing something else, I was watching something when a commercial came on. I started calling for her and told her that she had to hurry to see something. When she went to see what it was it was a commercial for a stretch mark reducer. I was very disappointed when she told me that she'd used a product by the same brand when she was pregnant with me and that it didn't help. I was just trying to help. What good are products that don't do what they claim?

On our way home today, we stopped at Walmart and so that I could spend the gift card that I got for Christmas. When we got home, mom unpacked me and then repacked me. We drove to meet daddy so that I can spend the rest of the year with him. The roads were really bad because of the snow and there were a lot of wrecks on the way there and back.

November 2012

Mommy surprised me when she picked me up from daycare by taking me to Wreck-It Ralph. I really liked it and thought it was very funny. She said it was a thank you for being so brave with the move and starting a new school. I love my new teacher and am adjusting as well as can be expected to the move.

We went to grammy and grandpa's for the weekend and got ice cream on the way. What a great weekend, ice cream and grandpa!

After mom picked me up from day care we went to the Fresh Beat Band concert! It was so awesome! I love the Fresh Beat Band!

I got to spend Thanksgiving with daddy :). When I got back, we decorated the Christmas tree I was on the phone with grammy and Parker started to cry because he got something taken away from him. I told grammy to give him his binky "for heaven sakes." We drew names for Christmas this year and I got grandpa. I asked if he had any needle nose pliers, and wanted to get him a pair, but mommy said that he had plenty of those. Apparently he has every tool one could ever need for anything.

After I got picked up from daycare, mom took me to do my Christmas shopping. I'm so excited to give my gifts to everyone!

Mommy and I rented a movie and watched Arthur Christmas, it was really cute :).

Mom picked me up from daycare early for my dentist appointment. While we were there, the dentist mentioned Oprah. Confused, I asked, "What's an Oprah?" Grammy stopped by to visit while she was in Boise doing some Christmas shopping! While she was here, I asked if I could have some butter and said that it was my favorite topping. If mommy doesn't keep an eye on me while cookie baking, I will eat butter all by itself. I fail to see the problem with that, it is delicious after all.

When mommy woke me up this morning, she said, "It's my birthday, good morning." I woke right up with a smile and said that I was going to make her comfortable today and do everything she asked of me. It's the least I could do today, it is her birthday after all :).

October 2012

We visit aunt Reeree today, it's always nice to get to do that.

While we were eating dinner, I asked mom what the look on her face was for. She said that she was just reminiscing. I asked what that meant. When she told me the definition, I said, "You mean like across a second dimension?" Then when mom was trying to get me to brush my teeth, I said that I was "too sad and disappointed" to brush my teeth because I didn't get to do anything fun today.

After mom picked me up from school, she took me to Frankenwenie and to get a blizzard! The movie wasn't that great, but the blizzard was awesome as usual.

While I was eating my breakfast, mom told me to take a bigger bit. I said, "How come you think I was born to take this big of a bite?" She told me that it's because you I a big mouth. I replied, "Like mama?" After MDFD, we made Halloween decorations at my request. We had a lot of fun making them! When we were working on the decoration, I said that pink is Sandy's favorite color because, "she's a girl and she loves me." Mommy thought that was interesting logic, lol.

We went to Clancy's to surprise Randi for her birthday and had pizza and cobbler. On our way to Clancy's, grandpa and I were in the back horsing around. Mommy got after me for something I did to him. I simply told her that, "He got what he deserved." Well that may have been case, mommy stood by her word on the matter.

Mommy and I picked out pumpkins to paint for our annual pumpkin painting tradition. I can't wait to paint them! Mom was getting after me for goofing around after she had put me to bed. So I told her that, I was too distracted by Cinderella's birthday. It seemed like the perfect excuse.

Mommy picked me up from school early and took me to my dentist appointment. I have five cavities that need filled! Here I was thinking that I'd been doing a great job brushing me teeth. Guess I better redouble my efforts. After my appointment, I had ballet.

We painted pumpkins today! This year I made a witch and mommy made a gypsy. The gypsy was my idea :).

Since daddy found out that he is getting laid off at work, mommy decided that she better get a job to make sure that I'm taken care of. She couldn't find anything nearby, so she had to start looking in Boise. She got offered a job that starts in a week. I'm sad to leave our house and my friends, but I understand the necessity of it. Mommy got our house rented out and found us a place in Boise. She's also got me enrolled in my new school. She's been packing all week.

I got my first fillings at the dentist today. Mom says that I was amazing and did really well, very brave.

After mommy took me to school today, she packed up the rest of our things and moved it to our new place in Boise. Karlie picked me up from school so that grammy and grandpa could help  mommy move today.

Mommy met with the principal of my new school and my new teacher. It turns out that my new principal grew up with my old principal, what a small world! Mommy picked me up from my last day at my old school and took me out for my last Mother Daughter Fawns Friday. They are going to miss seeing us there every Friday and we are going to miss seeing them every Friday. We are going to have to start a new tradition I guess. Maybe it will just have to be Mother Daughter Ice Cream Day?

Mommy and I went to the apartment and started unpacking. To be helpful, I made mom a peanut butter and jam sandwich for lunch. Mommy thought that it was very sweet up me.

Mommy took me to my first day at my new school and started her new job today! When she told me that she was doing something for her boss, I told her "Don't let him boss you around." Someone got to look out for mom, it may as well be me.

After mom picked me up from the babysitter, I threw up all night! I told mommy that I hate throwing up and she agreed completely!

It was raining today, but even so, I wanted to go to the park even. Once we got over there, I decided to come back when it was dry. Turns out mommy did know what she was talking about after all. Maybe someday I'll catch on to the fact that she knows stuff, but don't anyone go holding their breath for that to happen, lol.

Mom took Sadie me to visit the daycare that I'm going to start going to. She wanted me to be able to meet them before I started. On our way home, I said, "I'm perched." She asked me if I meant that I was thirsty and I said yes. So she let me know that it's parched, not perched. We went out and got some dinner with Randi and Clancy and then got ice cream for our Ice Cream Friday tradition formerly known as MDFF.

Grammy and grandpa came to Boise today. They took us and Randi to the temple open house. Grandpa gave me $100 to buy shoes! I love to buy shoes! Mommy says that I'm a typical girl. Love of shoes is in our female DNA :). Mommy took me shoe shopping and it was great! Our new place doesn't have a dish wash, so when we got home, we did dishes together. It was my first time washing dishes and it was quite the learning experience. Mom did the dishes the other day without me, and I was really disappointment because I wanted to help.

We went to our new ward today, Clancy and Randi went with us. Then we make chocolate chip cookies and played go fish. Clancy and Randi came over for dinner and visited for a little while.

I've really been wanting mom to dress up for Halloween. She decided the day of on her way home from work that she was going to do it. So she picked me up from daycare, got me ready, and got herself dressed up as a prom queen. I decided to be a witch this year, a cute nice witch. We went over to the ward Halloween party and then went trick or treating with the person that baby sat me last week. We had lot of fun! I kept asking everyone, isn't my mom the most beautiful prom queen? I said that I want to dress up as a prom queen next year. When I would come back from trick or treating at a house, I'd call out, "Prom queen." I also went up to a couple houses and said the whole trick or treat smell my feet thing. Mommy was not amused by this at all. We stopped by Randi and Clancy's on our way back for one last trick or treating stop.

September 2012

While I was cleaning my mess up in the basement today, I said to mommy, "I don't need any of your advice." Mommy's sure that I must have heard that on one of my shows.

I was too sick to go to school today, so I took my first sick day and stayed home with mom. She let me rent a movie and we snuggle up on the couch together and watch it. Grammy stopped by and brought us both a flower! While mommy was helping me with my  homework, I saw a picture of a woman in a dress and said that what she was wearing was "inappropriate".

After we went to the library and out for MDFF, I wanted mom to watch me do something and said, "Watch the master at work."

In reference to mommy going on a date, I said to her to, "Just wear anything pretty because boys like that." At five I'm already the expert on what boys like. Mom is so lucky to have me around for my stellar advice on life!

After mom picked me up from school and helped get my homework done, we watched Parker for a little while. I love helping with Parker and still view him as a new born.

This morning, I got in to bed with mommy to snuggle for a few minutes. When I got out, I said, "I tooted in your bed and it made me happy." I love potty humor! Mommy was not amuse and can't believe that even potty humor could be genetic.

Mom and I were playing a game and when we won, I said, "Give me high five girl!" After school, we got my homework done and then, grammy picked me up for a sleepover!

While I was getting ready to brush my teeth this morning, mom was trying to pick out my constant rats next of hair. I told her that, "I can't do this properly with you picking my hair like that." Later when we went out to the library and out for MDFF, I got grammy a news paper because I, "know how much grammy loves to read the news paper." I'm so thoughtful sometimes! When we got in the car, in reference to the news paper, I asked "Do you perhaps have a rubber band I could use?" I thought it would be best to wrap it up proper like before I gave it to grammy :).

Grammy watched me for a few days while mommy watched Travis and Candice's kids. While she was gone, it's been really smoky lately because of the wild fires and it was making the sun look pink. I saw that and said, "Jesus is trying to impress everyone." One day while she was watching me, I came home from school and had only eaten a few fruit snacks for lunch. I was really hungry that day. Grammy told me that I needed to eat all of my sandwich. I told her to write me a note to remind me, which she did. The next day all of my sandwich was gone and grammy asked if the note worked. I told her, "Grammy I can't read."

I had such a fun day. Grandpa and mommy picked up my best friend Marlie and we went swimming and then out for ice cream!

We went out to grammy and grandpa's to celebrate grandpa's birthday. Grammy was getting everyone pumpkin pie and asked me if I wanted a piece. I said, "Nope, I'm not interested." Just wanted to be straight with her and tell it like it is. When mom was getting me ready for bed, I said, "I love you more than I love potty talk." Now that is a lot of love!

Marlie came over this morning to have a play date with me! Mom took us to the library, out for MDFF, and then to see Hotel Transylvania! What a great day! During conversation with Marlie, I told her that Ryder (uncle James' dog), "is a big galoot."

I gave my first talk in primary today! Mom said that I did very well and much better than her first talk in primary by a land slid, whatever that means.
