I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

May 2010

What a fun day! We went to Boise today and went to the Discovery Center. After that we went to the park and fed the ducks, geese, and goslings. Then we did a little shopping and grandpa got me some new toys. While we were driving through the parking lot, there were two red vehicles in a row in front of us and I said that they were "run amuck".

Mommy was really really sick today, so grammy came and picked me up. I spent the day at her house while mommy stayed in bed all day. Mommy thinks I was awfully sweet though, when she told me she was sick, I said that I needed to call the doctor and tell the doctor that her tummy doesn't feel good. Then I told mom to come into the kitchen with me and get a treat to help her feel better (mommy always tells me that the medicine is a treat). Then when I was laying in bed with her while I watched a movie waiting for grammy, I put my blankie over her. So sweet.

When grammy was leaving our house, I said, "But I forgot to give her hugs and kisses."

I've been big on not wanting kissed, but the other night when mom put me to bed and was leaving my room I wanted her to give me a kiss on the head. She kissed my forehead, but I wiped it off and said to kiss me on the head and pointed to the top of my head.

Grandpa came with us girls to MDFF. After that mom and I went to Ontario to run some errands. We dropped off Mother's Day cards for great grandma and aunt Treva.

After church we went out to grandma and grandpas and spent the day there. I wished mommy happy Mother's Day many times and gave her a kiss on the arm. She later talked me into at least a kiss on the cheek. I got her a package of gummy bears and the Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel :).

For fhe today we were going to have a picnic at the park for fhe, but it rained today. So mom asked me what I wanted to do and I said that I wanted to eat chocolate chips and watched a show, so we did :).

The weather was good today, so we had the picnic at the park we couldn't have yesterday. When mommy was getting our lunch ready for the picnic, I took a pen and drew on a check mom was depositing in the bank today. When she saw what I was doing, I said that I was making it pretty. When I saw mommy's reaction to it, I said, "But it's ok, because I made it pretty, right?" Then on our way out the door I said that I was allergic to babies and then clarified by adding, baby dolls. After the picnic we went to the library. Mommy was amused by my Buzz Lightyear imitation, I hit my chest close fisted and say, "To infinity and beyond" and then usually jump off something.

Mom took me on a bike ride and accidentally fell over and scraped up her elbow. I didn't get hurt, but it scared me and I just wanted to go home after that and held onto mommy's shirt really tight. I can ride my own bike all by myself now, I just need to figure out how to turn around.

We went to Utah this weekend so that I can see daddy and all my family here. When we got back from our trip, mommy was so excited to see stuff actually growing in her vegetable garden I helped her plant!

When we were saying the blessing on the food, I wanted to fold my feet in addition to folding my arms, lol. I also told mom to stay upstairs in the kitchen with me to keep an eye on me when she needed to go down stairs to get something. I later told her, just at random, not to say mean words to her. Along with her relentless stream of questions, if mom tells me that she doesn't know, I'll say, "Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Or if I have a suggestion I'll end it with, "How about that?" The other day I told grammy that their dog Challey was an old dog, old like grandma and grandpa and nana and papa.

This morning I had something and said that it, "Makes my heart feel super happy." On our way to grammy's mom said, "Sadie I need you to be…" and I said, "obedient", lol. She said, "well yes, but…" and finished what she was saying to me :).

After MDFF, we went to the library, and then to see the fourth Shrek!

I'm always telling mom that I don't want her to wipe off my licorices (which are what I call my tears), she asked me why and I said that it was because they are warm.

I was playing with my stuffed kitty, putting it on my shoulders and playing hide and seek with it. I put it under the laundry basket, counted, said ready or not here I come, and then said where did the kitty go?

I started singing the song Handlebars today, it was so funny!

A medicine measuring cup fell into the toilet paper cabinet. When I was going to the bathroom this morning and mom opened the cabinet, I said, "There's something suspicious in there." Mommy took me ice skating for my first time. I didn't like it the first time around, but got better every time after that. By the time our time was up, I was ready to be done. From there we met mom and aunt Treva for dinner for Treva's birthday.

After MDFF, we stopped at the library, and then drove up to McCall for Fallynne Leonard's baby blessing.

I had so much fun today, we went to a hot springs with aunt Treva and uncle Steve. One of them had sand in it and it made me feel like I was at the beach :). When we were in the car, I was playing doctor and was pretending to listen to mom's heart. She asked me how it sounded and I said, ridiculous and then said that it also sounded disastrous. Not a very good diagnosis unfortunately, lol.

We went to Fallyne's blessing. At church, I was drawing on my magna-doodle and drew a line down the middle and a bunch of lines going off it. I told mom it was a map and the line up the middle was the red road (referring to grandpa's gps), and said it was the road to Chuck E Cheese, lol. Then mom and I just hung out, I told mom to pretend that she was a chair and I was a ghost :). In the evening we went to dinner at Candice's parent's.

Mommy was I was working out doing jumping jacks, I told mom that she was good at that and then moved my arms to try and mimic what she was doing. Every time she uses the weights she got recently I pick them up and say I'm pumping up my muscles.
