I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

November 2010

For fhe today I got to pick out a toy, I got some cards that we played with while watching a movie!

What a night, I went and got in bed with mommy last night and then threw up every half an hour until 4:30 am. A few times after I threw up, I said that I wanted to go somewhere fun, lol. Went and voted. I said that I was going to vote for uncle Clancy because he's nice. When mom was getting me into the bed, I said, "I'm sorry I kept throw uping." She told me that I didn't need to apologize for throwing up.

When we got home today, I said, "Home sweet home."

Mommy took me to see Megamind, and it was a lot of fun. On our way home, we had MDFD.

It's been a long time, but we finally make it to the library, and wouldn't you know it, it was closed for the holiday. So, we went to MDFD and then got pizza at as per my request. When mom asked me what I wanted for dinner, I said, "Surprise me with something delicious."

I had a sleep of with grammy and I woke up in the middle of the night crying for a chocolate chip cookie :). So, mom made some for me today!

When grammy was watching me today, I was stirring the clean kitty litter and called it kitty glitter.

When I was eating my breakfast this morning, I wanted something and mom told me no. I kept asking and saying please and then said, "The answer needs to be yes" lol. Grammy stopped by, and while they were visiting they both started laughing. I said, "What are you laughing at, I can't hear the computer?" I was playing some computer games at the time. When mom put me to bed, I told her that she was the sweetest mom ever :).

I got to spend Thanksgiving with daddy :). On our way back home from picking me up, we stopped at uncle Clancy's and had cake for mommy's birthday. I got her The Great Mouse Detective and a web cam to talk to daddy with.

Mommy took her birthday off and spent the day having fun with me :). Mommy finally got to take me to preschool and meet my teacher. When we got there I told Ms. Gretchen, "This is my mom Terrellee, she gets to take me to preschool today." When she picked me up, we went to the library and had MDFD. When we got home, we put up the Christmas decorations, watched the movie I got her, and painted our toe nails :).

I slapped my forehead with the palm of my hand and said "Holy camolie!" lol

October 2010

When mommy came to check on me before she went to bed tonight, I was asleep under my bed. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery to fall asleep.

While we were watching conference today, I said, "I like watching conference, but conference is silly." Later mom and I were playing the piano together. She played me a couple of songs and asked me if I recognized them and I said that I did. Then I started playing a song and asked mom if she recognized it. She didn't, so I told her that it was an angel song for aunt Reeree.

I had my first show and tell at preschool today and showed everyone my white teddy bear that I got from Nana for my very first Valentine's Day. I really like show and tell :). Mommy and I painted pumpkins for fhe! I made mine pink, and it's so beautiful.

Grammy took me to help uncle James clean the place he's moving out of. While we were there James was saying something about no one liking him. I said, "Uncle James I like you" and then gave him a big hug. After that he said that he felt better.

This morning, I yawned, told mom that I yawned, and then said it means that my belly is tired. Mom and I watched the new Karate Kid movie. It made me get out my swords I got for my birthday and want to sword fight :).

When I was with grammy today, I said that my marble was a grape and then it turned into a marble and that it was a magic grape.

We went to steak conference today and every time I heard someone say conference, I would say, "He/She said conference." Mommy cooked dinner for grammy and grandpa after church and I got to helped mom :). While we were making stuff, I said, "It's a beautiful day for cooking."

On my way to Utah to see daddy, I vomited my chicken nuggets all over mom in the car. I said that vomit boggies didn't taste good and apologized for getting vomit boggies on her and for vomiting on her. Auhh, there's nothing like being vomited on, or so mommy says.

I told mom that I hate carrots, but I don't hate green beans.

On our way to great grandma's big 90th birthday celebration, I thanked the clouds for keeping the sun out of my eyes :).

They had the primary program at church and when one of the kids said, "In the name of Jesus Christ..." for their part, I thought I would finish the sentence and said, "Amen" and everyone around us laughed. After church we made cupcakes. While we were making cupcakes mom was pouring something into a measuring spoon and I said, "Steady." Then when I was saying my prayers, I said, "And bless daddy to be safe at the airport." Because when I talked to him, he said he was at the airport picking up aunt Jenny.

Mommy introduced me to the movie Annie. When Ms. Hannigan is singing the song about little girls "Step on their freckles", I laughed and said that was silly. When it was over I wanted to watch it again.

When mommy was leaving my room after she put me to bed, I said, "But I'll be all alone." SHe told me that I had my teddy, doggy, and hippo to keep an eye on me. I said, "But they're not real, teddy is just made up fluff." :)

Sometimes when mom asks me what I want to eat, how I want my hair fixed, etc..., I'll say, surprise me.

Grammy too me to visited mom at work today :)!

Mommy let me watch fun Halloween movies today. Then grammy came over and they took me trick-or-treating. I had so much fun that I wanted to keep going. When mommy told me that we were going to stop by Oscar and Betty's, I said, "Oscar and Betty! They're awesome!" lol

We picked the rest of the pumpkins out of the garden and carved them. What fun!

September 2010

I had my first day of preschool! When grammy introduced me to the teacher, I said, "I'm Sadie Jones the big girl."

I was trying to keep Milo in line and said to him, "Remember what I told you Milo, no licking." Then I kept telling mom to join me in whatever I happened to be doing. For some reason now I call grandpa, Bob.

We went to MDFD, since mommy is working now instead of on Friday's we go any day we can. So now it's just Mother Daughter Fuan's Day, aka MDFD. After that mommy took me on a "vacation" to the "beach" and took me to Mann's Creek for a couple of hours and had a picnic. We were throwing rocks in the water and mom's went farther than mine, so grammy told her that she won the prize. Later I found a bottle cap in the sand, gave it to mom, and told her it was her gold medal for her prize.

That mom of mine is so smart, so I've been telling her for the last few days that she is a genius.

Mommy took me to the movies today! We saw The Sorcerer's Apprentice and it was so much fun. I've been sticking my tongue out and today when mommy got after me for it, I thought fast and told her that I was just stretching it. I thought it was a pretty good excuse. Coming up with that kind of stuff now, mommy can't wait to see what kind of stuff I come up with when I'm a teenager.

I took Sandy over to grammy's today, and on our way home I told her, "Come back here where it's safe, so you don't get mom in trouble" which is what mom tells me when I want to sit in the front and don't want my seatbelt on.

I was out helping mommy with her visiting teaching today. On our way from one appointment to the next, mom had to go to the bathroom really bad. So I just told her to be brave.

On our way home from grammy's today, I had some granola bar crumbs in my hand and called them granola bar seeds. I've been using the word energy a lot lately in refereeing to eating or something I'm going to do.

Grammy and I stopped by and visited mommy at work for a few minutes. This morning before mommy left for work, as her fashion consultant, I told her that she looked weird, lol. I felt it only fair to tell it like it is.

I got a cold, as usual since I started school, I had a really big sneeze and when grammy commented on in, I said, "the boogies are having a party in my nose", lol.

I had a fun day with mommy today. We went to the movies and got ice cream afterwards!

After church we were getting ready to go to grammy's. I asked mom to take my bun out. She told me to wait a minute because she was changing her close. Then I told her to do it right now or I was going to spank her bum. Mom seemed to think I was being sassy. Later I talked to daddy. I was spinning around in the computer chair and asked daddy if he was getting dizzy. I don't understand the concept of how the cell phone works and that the person I'm talking to isn't in the phone and can't see me. I'll catch on one of these days though.

When I was with grammy today, she was having a meeting for one of her church callings. Grammy and the other lady were trying to decide who would do a certain thing and I, being helpful as usual, raised my and hand and said, "Pick me, pick me!"

Mommy took me to a Halloween store today. Halfway through, after seeing some of the decorations, I said I wanted to leave this creepy store right now. Every time mom would go to look at something else, I would tell her to stop it because I wanted to leave. When we were driving away, I told mom that I forgive her for taking me to the creepy store. I'm so kind hearted :). Later in the day we all met for dinner for grandpa's 53rd birthday. During dinner, uncle James announced that him and Karlie are having a baby in May! I'm so excited to have an Idaho cousin!

During church I announced to mom, "I crack myself up." Then when we were at grammy's for dinner, I was pretending that the straw was a magic wand. Mom told me to make my food disappear into my tummy. So I said, "Magic a pooh" and put my napkin over my plate. I'm so tricky!

When mommy picked me up from grammy's, she asked me what I wanted to do for fhe. I told her that I wanted to have graham crackers and milk. We ended up having a picnic at the park for fhe instead though. Oh well, better luck next time I guess.

I've been saying, "Oh shucks" a lot lately. Mommy and grammy think it's so funny.

When grammy was getting gas today, a guy walked by and I said, "Hey dude what's your name?" He reminded me of someone I know, and I just wanted to check and see if it was him :). On our way in the house today after mommy got off work, I told her that I wished I didn't have to go to work.

August 2010

I learn so much these days, and I feel that it's only right to share what I've learned with those around me, So I've been informing mommy of every oncoming stop sign and letting her know that she need to stop :).

Grandpa or Bob as I'm calling him now a day, got me an electric toothbrush! Now all I want to do all day is brush my teeth, but mommy says I can only brush them in the morning and before bed. I requested to watch a movie for fhe, so we did. Mommy and I were playing today and when we were goofing around, I said, "Hey that was rude!" lol

Mommy and I had a fun day. We watched some shows, took a walk, and read books together.

On our way out the door today, mommy was trying to get Sandy out of the garage so that we could leave and I said, "Hey, I'm in charge of Sandy, remember?" Hmmm...where has she heard that before...oh yeah, from mommy.

Just another day in Sadie's paradise with mommy. We made cookies together, watched a movie, and played together for a while. Mommy says that I'm just living the charmed life. I don't know what that means, but it sounds nice, so I'll have to agree wither her there. When we were in the car, mom put on some chapstick, and I told her she could put more makeup on later. Then I kind of rambled for a while about her makeup and ended the ramble with, "Is that and excellent plan?"

Mommy took me to the movies today and saw Despicable Me. It was all kinds of fun!

I spent the day with grammy today. She took Sadie to Laree's grave today. When we got there, I hugged her headstone and said, "I love her." Then I went and picked some dandelions in the seed stage, put them on her grave and said, "She'll have fun blowing those."

I had a sleep over with grammy and when she woke me up, I said, "12 more minutes, then I'll wake up, like mommy." lol

We got to go to the library today! Then took the dogs for a walk and I got to play with the neighbor kids.

Mommy started her new job today. Grammy will be taking care of me while she's at work, which is good with me because grammy lets me "do whatever I want whenever I want". When we got home we made cookies! I love cookies!

Mommy had to leave earlier for work this morning. When she went into my room to get clothes for me to wear for the day, I started crying and asked her why she was dressed. She told me that she had to go to work. Then I asked if the dogs could stay with me. Grandpa is such a good grandpa, he came over and mowed our lawn for us. Mommy had no idea how she was going to have time to do it and now she doesn't have to worry about it :). When I was with grammy today we went and visited someone that had surgery. I found a little bow in grammy's sewing kit and called it a flower. Then I wanted to take to Kathleen and said that it would make her knee feel better.

I told mom this morning, "My belly is starving" and asked her to get me food and to hurry. Later I brought mom over my alphabet flash card with a mouse on it and was so excited about it that I gave her a hug and said, "I'm so welcome!"

I told mommy that I wanted a puppy. She's a smart one. So she told me that if I wanted a puppy that I was going to have to give all the dogs a bath, cut their nails, clean their teeth, feed them, and scoop their poop for a whole year. I said, "Awe, I'm gonna have to grow up."

On our way home mom told me that she needed to go potty and I apologized that there were no potties on the road. I then told her to hold my whammy fammy. lol

During church today, I was dancing and making a sound. Mom told me that I needed to sit down and be reverent. I told her, "But I was just doing the spit dance." After church we went to grammy and grandpa's. While we were there I said that mom was old and that I didn't want her to go to heaven because I wanted her to stay there with me :). Later on I was talking to daddy and wanted to show him something. Then I said that I had to stay where there were bars (on the cell phone), and couldn't show him. lol I still haven't figured out that even thought I can hear the person on the other end of the phone and they can hear me, they can't see me.

When mommy got home from work today, she took me to the park for fhe, and we had a picnic.

July 2010

Note: These are pictures of me eating my vegetables ;).

I went visiting teaching with mommy and she thought it was funny that I asked if I could ask her partner Victoria a question.

We woke up brigth and early this morning and helped clean the church, I had so much fun helping mommy clean the glass!

It's the 4th of July! Grandpa took us all to the park in Boise and we watched the fireworks! It was so much fun. Mommy thinks that we were a little bit too close to the display because she got some firework particles in her eye, lol.

I was teasing Maggie by putting a doll blanket on her head. When mom told me not to do that to Maggie, I said, "But she'll look stylish."

Today, told mommy that I wanted to go to school and said I wanted to go because "I'm smart and sweet because I'm Sadie Jones the big girl".

On our way to the car, mommy was trying to get Milo out of the garage and I started to yell at him. She told me not to do that because She was in charge. I started to cry and said that I wanted to be in charge. She told me that I could be in charge of my lamby (my stuffed animal). Then I was talking on the phone to grandpa and informed him that mom was in charge of screaming and the dogs and I was in charge of my lamby. Later on in the day, I took my very first camping trip! I had a good time riding in the boat, roasting marshmallows and sleeping under the stars.

I was inspired by watching Aladdin , so I've been telling mom that I trust her. However, I don't trust my water bottle shaped like a lamb, lol. I also told mom today, "…but that's not fair." She did not think she would be hearing me say that until I'm at least 12, lol. I didn't think it was fair that I should sleep in my bed. Mommy keeps telling me that life is fair, but I strongly disagree and believe very adamantly that it is fair.

It's aunt Reeree's 32nd birthday today. We had her favorite foods for dinner. Aunt Treva and grandma Kofoed came out for it. After that we went out to Laree's grave and released some birthday balloons. When we got home mommy and I watched the slide show of Laree mommy made for the funeral.

Mommy's friend Maria had a baby yesterday, so we went to visit them. While we were there, I got to hold her and asked if I could give Reesa a kiss. Babies are so sweet.

I'm so excited! I turned around on my bike all by myself today!

I've started a new thing, when I'm watching a movie and have a question, I'll ask the question and then demand, "Tell me the truth about…"

I got to spend the weekend with daddy! On our way home, mom showed me the miniature lotion set she won playing bingo at grandpa's family reunion. When I saw them, I said, "I've wanted this my whole life from bingo." Then later I was laying on the floor, held up my hand, and said, "A little help here".

The other day I announced to mommy, "I'm having too much fun!" I'm not so sure there is a thing as too much fun, but I'm sure going to make my best effort to find out.

Mommy hurt her back, so I said that she needed to go to the doctor to get the right medicine to help her feel better just like me.

Mommy thought my prayer tonight was very amusing, I don't see why it's so funny, you be the judge. All I said was, "Thank you for Maggie to not be fat." Lol.

I like to help out when I can, so I brought all of my change to mom and said that I wanted her to have all of my money for shopping. Mommy thought it was so sweet.

June 2010

As you well know, I'm always trying to mix things up and keep things interesting for my audience, aka my family. So, when I say good bye, I say good bye, blow kisses, and then hug myself :).

We had another MDFF. When mom was eating her ice cream, I asked if I could have one skittle (mom always gets the skittles ice cream and I always get velvet mints). She gave me one and after I put it in my mouth, I said it needed it's buddy, so she gave me another one. Grandpa always tells me when he is trying to get me to eat, that the bite of food misses it's buddies that I already ate so that I will eat more. It works for me, so I thought I'd try and use that scheme to my advantage and tried it out on mommy. It worked like a charm, she couldn't resist giving me another Skittle.

I was playing with my stuffed monkey and put it to bed in the crib. Then a few minutes later I went back in the room, turned on the light, and said "Rise and shine".

It rained all day today and when we were getting in the car, I licked the rain off the door, lol. It seemed like a good and rather tasty idea, but mom told me that I shouldn't do that.

Daddy came and spent the weekend with me, we had fun, as we always do :).

When I was at Grandma's, grandpa told me to tell Clancy's friend "Goose-fra-ba", so I did. When he asked what that meant, I said, "Hakuna Matata." Then later on, when mom said it was time to go, grandpa was making a big deal about it in a fun way, not wanting me to go and I said, "You're not understanding me, I have to go."

Mom was very amused today when I said, "Holy smokes." Then mom tripped going up the stairs and I told her, "You have to be more careful mom." We got to take all of the dogs for a walk, that's always fun for me, not always so much for mom though. When we were walking Maggie, I rode my bike alongside mom, but every time I got to a part of the side walk that wasn't very good, I got off and pushed my bike past it. When we got back from that we played outside most of the day and had a lot of fun with my bubbles. Then mom made cookies for me.

On our way home from church, I kept saying, "Are we there yet?"

Mommy was with uncle Clancy looking for a paragliding site, but were having a hard time finding it. I couldn't understand this because, after all, "…they have the PPS" (which is what I calls the GPS :).

Grandma took someone in to get surgery and when I asked where the lady was going and they told her she was getting surgery, I said, "Oh, is she getting tickled" lol. Because when I get hurt, grandpa asks me if I need surgery. Then he lays me out on the "operation table", has me put my arms up and then tickles me. Later I was asking grandma a bunch of questions that she didn't know the answer to. Grandpa told me that I was going to have to help grandma out. I said, "Ok here's your options" just like mommy tells me sometimes :).

I got to go to the circus today and I had a blast! There was a flexible gymnast in it and when I saw what she was doing I decided to try and do it to and had grandpa scoot over to give me some room. Then when I would do something I saw the gymnast do I would bow afterwards. I also got to ride on the elephant!

Mommy went to pick me up from grandma, and I was in the bath tub when she got there. She asked me for a hug, but I said I was all wet. She told me that she didn't care and so I gave her one and then asked if she brought me a present.

When we were leaving for church this morning, I wanted to take my stuffed kitty with me. Mom asked me if I wanted the other kids to play with it, and when I said no, she suggested that I leave it at home. But I came up with an idea and said that Bob (as I call grandpa sometimes) would protect it, and decided to take it.

We went to the library and the park today! Mom was amused by me when I said, "What a bummer." Mom painted her toenails and I tried to convince me to convince her to paint her fingernails too and said that it would look fabulous.

I woke up in the morning crying and saying that I wanted chocolate squares which is what I call the velvet mints from Fawn's. I'm definitely female, lol.

I got a bath this morning and while I was in the tub, Mom went to put her robe on. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm getting my robe on". I said, "I'm not a robot." And she said, "Not robot, my robe on". So asked, "You're robot robe?" lol.

We met daddy in Twin Falls today, I get to spend the whole week with daddy!

I was so happy to see mom when I got back from visiting daddy. Mom says I was extra huggie. I picked up a new word while I was gone and am now using actually. Mommy is very impressed that I even use it properly. When I was in the tub, I was calling for mom. When she came in to see what I needed, I said, "Actually I'm ready to get out." When mom was getting me dressed, she told me that if I was a good girl I could pick out a treat at the store. Ishe said "Actually I am a big girl" and she said, "Not a big girl, a good girl". And for some reason I also said, at random, something about sassy pants, lol. I have another bladder infection and had to go to the doctor :(.

May 2010

What a fun day! We went to Boise today and went to the Discovery Center. After that we went to the park and fed the ducks, geese, and goslings. Then we did a little shopping and grandpa got me some new toys. While we were driving through the parking lot, there were two red vehicles in a row in front of us and I said that they were "run amuck".

Mommy was really really sick today, so grammy came and picked me up. I spent the day at her house while mommy stayed in bed all day. Mommy thinks I was awfully sweet though, when she told me she was sick, I said that I needed to call the doctor and tell the doctor that her tummy doesn't feel good. Then I told mom to come into the kitchen with me and get a treat to help her feel better (mommy always tells me that the medicine is a treat). Then when I was laying in bed with her while I watched a movie waiting for grammy, I put my blankie over her. So sweet.

When grammy was leaving our house, I said, "But I forgot to give her hugs and kisses."

I've been big on not wanting kissed, but the other night when mom put me to bed and was leaving my room I wanted her to give me a kiss on the head. She kissed my forehead, but I wiped it off and said to kiss me on the head and pointed to the top of my head.

Grandpa came with us girls to MDFF. After that mom and I went to Ontario to run some errands. We dropped off Mother's Day cards for great grandma and aunt Treva.

After church we went out to grandma and grandpas and spent the day there. I wished mommy happy Mother's Day many times and gave her a kiss on the arm. She later talked me into at least a kiss on the cheek. I got her a package of gummy bears and the Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel :).

For fhe today we were going to have a picnic at the park for fhe, but it rained today. So mom asked me what I wanted to do and I said that I wanted to eat chocolate chips and watched a show, so we did :).

The weather was good today, so we had the picnic at the park we couldn't have yesterday. When mommy was getting our lunch ready for the picnic, I took a pen and drew on a check mom was depositing in the bank today. When she saw what I was doing, I said that I was making it pretty. When I saw mommy's reaction to it, I said, "But it's ok, because I made it pretty, right?" Then on our way out the door I said that I was allergic to babies and then clarified by adding, baby dolls. After the picnic we went to the library. Mommy was amused by my Buzz Lightyear imitation, I hit my chest close fisted and say, "To infinity and beyond" and then usually jump off something.

Mom took me on a bike ride and accidentally fell over and scraped up her elbow. I didn't get hurt, but it scared me and I just wanted to go home after that and held onto mommy's shirt really tight. I can ride my own bike all by myself now, I just need to figure out how to turn around.

We went to Utah this weekend so that I can see daddy and all my family here. When we got back from our trip, mommy was so excited to see stuff actually growing in her vegetable garden I helped her plant!

When we were saying the blessing on the food, I wanted to fold my feet in addition to folding my arms, lol. I also told mom to stay upstairs in the kitchen with me to keep an eye on me when she needed to go down stairs to get something. I later told her, just at random, not to say mean words to her. Along with her relentless stream of questions, if mom tells me that she doesn't know, I'll say, "Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Or if I have a suggestion I'll end it with, "How about that?" The other day I told grammy that their dog Challey was an old dog, old like grandma and grandpa and nana and papa.

This morning I had something and said that it, "Makes my heart feel super happy." On our way to grammy's mom said, "Sadie I need you to be…" and I said, "obedient", lol. She said, "well yes, but…" and finished what she was saying to me :).

After MDFF, we went to the library, and then to see the fourth Shrek!

I'm always telling mom that I don't want her to wipe off my licorices (which are what I call my tears), she asked me why and I said that it was because they are warm.

I was playing with my stuffed kitty, putting it on my shoulders and playing hide and seek with it. I put it under the laundry basket, counted, said ready or not here I come, and then said where did the kitty go?

I started singing the song Handlebars today, it was so funny!

A medicine measuring cup fell into the toilet paper cabinet. When I was going to the bathroom this morning and mom opened the cabinet, I said, "There's something suspicious in there." Mommy took me ice skating for my first time. I didn't like it the first time around, but got better every time after that. By the time our time was up, I was ready to be done. From there we met mom and aunt Treva for dinner for Treva's birthday.

After MDFF, we stopped at the library, and then drove up to McCall for Fallynne Leonard's baby blessing.

I had so much fun today, we went to a hot springs with aunt Treva and uncle Steve. One of them had sand in it and it made me feel like I was at the beach :). When we were in the car, I was playing doctor and was pretending to listen to mom's heart. She asked me how it sounded and I said, ridiculous and then said that it also sounded disastrous. Not a very good diagnosis unfortunately, lol.

We went to Fallyne's blessing. At church, I was drawing on my magna-doodle and drew a line down the middle and a bunch of lines going off it. I told mom it was a map and the line up the middle was the red road (referring to grandpa's gps), and said it was the road to Chuck E Cheese, lol. Then mom and I just hung out, I told mom to pretend that she was a chair and I was a ghost :). In the evening we went to dinner at Candice's parent's.

Mommy was I was working out doing jumping jacks, I told mom that she was good at that and then moved my arms to try and mimic what she was doing. Every time she uses the weights she got recently I pick them up and say I'm pumping up my muscles.

April 2010

Every so often I like to spice things up a bit in how I wake up mommy. So, today I went into her room and said, "Cock-a-doodle-do!" Then I took her blanket off of her and insisted that she get up :). We got to take all of the dogs on a walk today, they always love that and so do I!

It's Easter! When I woke up this morning it was to a surprise of an Easter basket full of goodies at the foot of my bed. I just had to rush into mommy's room to tell her that the Easter Bunny came and hurried her into my room to come and see! After we looked at the stuff in my basket I said thank you to the Easter bunny. Mommy explained to me why we celebrate Easter and told me that Jesus died for us so that we could go to heaven when we die. To which I replied, that I don't want to die. I guess I'll understand this whole concept more when I'm older, not that I'm not a big girl now, but when I'm an even bigger. When mommy was putting me to bed, I helped my ducky say it's prayers and said,"…thank you for the jelly beans….thank you for the food to be ready when it's dark…"

At the store today, I saw a couple of Easter things I wanted. Mommy told me that if I wanted them I had to use her quarters I got in the Easter egg hunt at grandma and grandpa's yesterday. So the lady rang it up and mommy started to count out the quarters. I got a little panicked when I saw how many of my quarters it was taking and exclaimed, "That's enough." When we got home, I request we made cookies for family home evening. After we finished them we went out to grammy and baba's for a little while. And naturally while we were gone the dogs pulled the cookies of the stove and ate them all! In the words of mommy, those little devils!

In looking for mommy this morning, I discovered her outside on the swing and I asked her just, "What do you think you're doing out here" with that tone, you know the one I mean. Lately I've been saying "oh poops" when something goes a rye. When things go wrong something's got to be said, and oh poops just feels right. A little while ago I noticed mommy use a piece of toilet paper to blow her nose with. I figured she was confused and let her know in the previously mentioned tone, "That's for the bummies." She tried to tell me it is a multi-purpose item that has endless possibilities :).

I was watching some of Lion King before bed and during the scene when the lion cubs get in trouble for going beyond the borders I started turning my head and leaning towards the screen and said, "How do I get in there, so I can make them happy."

After MDFF, we went to grammy's for the day. While we were there I wanted mom to sit on some rocks with me and think and would say, "Think, think, think." Then I got some smaller rocks, one for her and one for me and said that they were thinking rocks and tapped it on my cheek while saying, "Think, think, think." They were awfully handy little rocks because they also doubled as a phone!

Mommy was telling grammy about some chest pain she experienced in the middle of the night. I asked mommy if her heart was broken because I heard her mention the term heart burn. So, then I pretended to pull my heart out and said that she could have mine :). I wouldn't want mommy to go around with a broken heart after all.

One of the first things I said when I got up was to ask mommy if it was Clancy's birthday today. And it is! After church we drove over to uncle Clancy's to celebrate his birthday with him. While we were there they asked me if I was going to do some pull ups (on uncle Clancy's pull up bar) and I said that I already have pull ups and pulled my pull ups out of my pants a little and said, "See?" All the way home, I insisted that I wanted to sleep in mommy's car when we got home. So when we got home and mommy got me ready for bed and we took a drive around the block.

For family home evening I wanted to make pancakes, so we got to have pancakes for dinner! I love breakfast for dinner! I have this favorite pair of pajamas. It's the kind with the feet in them, you know the ones I'm talking about? The pink ballerina pajamas I got from grandpa when he dressed up like Santa Clause at Christmas. Anyways, I insist on wearing them just as much as mommy will let me. Mommy says that they are a huge pain to get on and off every time I have to go to the bathroom especially when I kick them all of the way off. So while trying to get them back on me, she expressed that she hates them. When she said that, I told her to be happy, to not be ornery or to hate the pajamas. All wise council I've received from her at one time or another.

I told mommy today, "Let's get this show on the road!"

I think I've decided most definitely that I am obsessed with Halloween. I'm always asking mommy when it will be and what everyone is going to dress up as and what I will be. I said that I will be Cinderella and list everything that I will need for the costume. It is my expert opinion that baba should be superman. What everyone else is, changes from day today. I also told mommy that I'm going to marry a prince but not until I have the proper attire (dress, crown, shoes, etc...) and that we will have a baby named Liza.

There's bad new and there's good news. The bad news is that I have another bladder infection and had it confirmed at the doctor's today. The good news is that it's MDFF and I got to go to the park. Even more so daddy is in town to visit me and I got to see him before I went to bed!

After daddy dropped me off to go home I wanted to get my dress on and go to church and to play in the nursery, but mommy said that they'd already been to church. I was pretty disappointed, but there's always next week.

I tried a most unconventional way of going down the slide. Yeah, face first can only end in tears. Needless to say, I hurt my lip. After I stopped crying I wanted to go back out, but said that I would be careful not to do that again. While playing on the swing set with grammy and baba, grammy was sitting in one of the swings and I told her, "Your butt's too big for that swing." Hmmm…I wonder where I heard that from.

I had so much fun for fhe (family home evening), I got to go to the library to pick out a book and to the park. Then when we got home, mommy filled up my pool so I could play in it! To top it all off, we took the dogs on a walk as per my request.

When we were at church today, I informed mommy that Jesus wants us to sing and to pray :).

Mommy was holding me while I was drinking me sippy. I tried to get her to rock me by moving back and forth, but my subtle hint was not getting through to her, so I just point blank said, "Rock me!" For fhe we went and visited aunt Laree's grave.

I was having a really fantastic stretch when mommy put me in bed and I told her that, "I'm just stretching because I'm tuckered out".

I'm up to my usual mixing up of my wake up routine for mommy. This was my best idea yet. I went outside, rang the doorbell, and then ran inside closing the door behind me and hid by the bookcase. When she came out to see what was going on, I said, "I waked you up!"

I feel like such a big girl today. Mommy created my very own log on account on the computer for me! Something strange happened to my while I was helping mommy plant flowers in the front yard. I decided that I was done and wanted my pajamas back on. When she was changing me mommy noticed that my wrists, which were the only part of my skin exposed, were red and swollen with lumps on them. She gave me some Benadryl and it cleared right up, so it looks like I must be allergic to one of the flowers in the yard, but which one remains a mystery. Later on while I was still working outside, I went inside to get something. When I came back out I had my panties and footie pajamas around her ankles and was otherwise naked. I asked mom for help getting my pajamas back one. While I was inside I went to the bathroom all by myself.

Other exciting news, I am now wearing big girl panties full time. I finally started wearing them at night too. I wasn't very happy about it at first because I wanted to wear my pull ups to bed. But when mommy explained that pull ups were for little girls and conceded because I am after all a big girl now, not little.

I'm so full of questions these days. One of my favorite questions is to ask mommy when I'm watching a show, "Is that a naughty guy or a good guy", about all the characters. I also ask her questions like, "Is that an apple or not", or whatever the case may be. Oh, my heavens, and the question just never stop. For every answer I get from mommy I have at least ten more lined up. There is so much to know and I need to know it all.

The other day when I went to get something while I was eating, I told mom to guard the food. One must have constant vigilance where food is involved with these rascally dogs around. Mom sometimes refers to them as vultures. When I was at grammy and baba's I was being so helpful and helping to feed grandpa his food. In the true spirit of feeding someone else, I made sure that I did all the airplane stuff you're apparently supposed to do when you feed someone else :).

Mommy was talking to Clancy this morning and gave me a kiss. As usual these days, I said not to kiss me. She gave her usual response, "but I love you." So I just told her, "Then don't kiss me." That ought to do the trick. Later, I was helping mommy plant the fruit/vegetable garden I put the seeds in the holes. Much to my pleasant surprise I found a rock. So I dug a hole for the rock, covered it up, and wah-la I planted a rock tree :). Mommy promised me cookies and donuts, and I also wanted pizza, so we went to the store to get some. While we were waiting in line I was asking her, as usual, none stop questions. And do you know what she told me? She said that I had exceeded my question limit for the day! I gave her a funny look, like hey.

March 2010

It was grammy's birthday today. Mommy spent all day making an adorable cake and getting dinner ready. I spent most of the day asleep because I'm sick. I have a fever :(. When mommy went down stairs to check on me, I was sound asleep in a chair.

I got in bed with mom last night. In the midst of not being exactly awake, I started insisting that the neighbor boy had my book. I then asked mom if she wanted to go snuggle in my bed. I'm still not feeling good today and threw up a couple of times.

I woke up crying and saying that my ear hurt. We had to go rescue grammy because her car wouldn't start. Mommy took me to the doctor, and I have a really bad ear infection. Mommy got the antibiotic for me and I had an allergic reaction. Mommy gave me some Benadryl and it cleared up pretty quick. We spent most of the day in bed because mommy is sick too. Baba stopped by to see how I was doing.

Mommy got me a different antibiotic today and I'm feeling slightly better, but not much. So we spent another day in bed and baba stopped by again to check on me.

It's a miracle! I'm finally starting to feel better. Mommy could tell I was starting to feel better when I woke up this morning. Mommy had her knees bent up towards the ceiling and I rolled my sippy down her legs and said, "Weee!" Then I tried to slide down her legs. But, my happiness didn't last long. Mommy told me it was Jesus' day (Sunday) and I started to cry. We were too sick to go to church. Mom asked me if I wanted to go to grammy and baba's and I most certainly did, that's for sure. I stared telling mom to pack her snacks and get dressed so that we could go. I insisted on staying in my jammies. Mom asked me if she could stay in her pajamas when I told her to get dressed. I told her no because she might get mud on them. But I relented and decided to let her stay in them. She had a good argument for her cause, since I was staying in my jammies, I suppose it's only fair that she get to stay in hers too.

For family home evening I made a card for Nana and Papa because my great grandma Jones passed away and I wanted to cheer them up.

We took Maggie and Sandy to the vets. While we were waiting I told Sandy not to move a muscle and then when she did I said, "She moved a muscle!" When the vet came in, I said, "This is Maggie and Sandy." I wanted to make sure he was properly introduced to them and make sure he knew which one was which.

When I woke mommy up this morning, I brought her a handful of broken up pieces of liquorish that I went to sleep with last night. I gave it to her and said that it would make her happy and insist that she eat it.

I got to spend the weekend with daddy!

When mommy put me to bed, I said the word humongous. Humongous is a pretty humongous word for such a small girl :). When I was at grammy's, in a conversation she asked me if Grandpa was a monkey and I said, "No, he's an old man." Then I asked where the ball was and said that they were at uncle Clancy's and he juggles with them. Then I said to baba that he was Santa, that I got to ring his bell, and that he had a soft beard. I have such a great memory that I remember baba dressed up like Santa and that uncle Clancy juggles.

Mommy took me on a bike ride and I had a lot of fun! I said things like, yippy-yi-yo-kia! I also said the D word today. When mommy asked me what I said, I very cheerfully repeated it. She told me that we do not use that word and that I was not to ever say it again. Good to know.

In my room this morning after I woke up I said to no one in particular, "Get out of my hat right now." Then when mom was in my room with me, I said to Maggie, "You mean old thing." Mommy was putting something in her wallet and I saw my picture in it and said, "That's the cutest picture I ever saw." On our way home from grammy's, I insisted that we get donuts :). I love donutes!

February 2010

I had a couple of, shall we say incidences, where I dropped a couple of things in the toilet while using it. So now if I'm holding something when I go to the bathroom I worry and asked mommy to take them and will say, "I don’t want them to get in the toilet."

While mommy was working on my blog I went over to her with my blanket over my head made ghost sounds. Mommy said, "Where's Sadie, there's a scary ghost by me!" Then I pulled the blanket off and laughed. Later, show I was watching either said shut up or stupid, I can't remember which, and I said, "That's a mean word." Sometimes when I stick my tongue out baba will act like he takes it from me and puts it in his pocket. This is rather upsetting, for all I know he actually took my tongue and I need it. So I say that I needs it and want it back. Once baba even told me that I put it back on upside down and so I adjusted it.

When we grammy and baba's house, I said to baba, "See you later alligator."

This morning I asked mom where daddy was and when she told me that he's in Utah, I said that I love him. Mommy introduced me to the Disney preschool website let me tell you, I am obsessed. I constantly want to watch the shows on it and playing the games. I'm actually really good at playing some of the games and navigating the site. I don't know why grammy refuses to use a computer, it's crumb cake. On one of the shows sings a little of the muffin man song in it, so I started singing that song today. When I want my sippy filled up instead of asking mommy to fill it up I'll say, "My sippy's not filled up." I've got mommy trained pretty well :).

I told mommy today "I'm cookoo." I also said that I missed daddy, so mommy helped me call and talk to him for a few minutes. Then we went to MDFF.

I told mommy this morning, "I love you, you are my favorite." Grammy, baba, and mommy took me to the Winter Carnival in McCall. On our way there, mommy said the word stupid, and I totally called her out on it and told her that it was a mean word, just like she tells me. And just so you know, I do not plan on letting mommy live down saying that word. In fact I will constantly remind her for a good month that she said a mean word in grandpa's truck. I kept calling the snow sculptures, sand sculptures. Mommy told me to hold onto my hat, as the expression goes. So I pretended to hold a hat on my head and when we went to get out of the vehicle I asked mom if I could take my hat off. When she told me I could, I pretended to take my hat off.

When I was saying my prayers this morning, I didn't want mommy to help me and told her not to say anything. If she did say anything, I would cover her mouth.

I was playing a game this morning and said, "I'm so good at this game." Then I helped mommy make cupcakes for FHE tonight. I helped mom put on the sprinkles and the candy on top. When mom was carrying a plate of cup cakes I said to her, "Keep it steady." Then mommy helped me make Valentine's cards for my family. Grammy came over to watch me for mom and I told grammy that I was having a jamie day. I do not like to have to wear anything but my pajamas these days. It's just that nothing else is comfortable. Who's with me?

Mommy was making me toast, since I won't eat the crust she was cutting it off. I asked her what she was doing and then said that she was taking the peel off for me :). I have started to say lately that, whatever it may be, is bothering me. Later in the day I was talking to Milo going on and on and telling him to, "be good to mamma." We took Milo to the vets and they were entertained by how much I talked while we were there. They said that they don't usually get little ones in there that talk so much. On our way home I asked to go to the park, so we dropped off Milo and went to the park. After that we took cupcakes to uncle James.

Mommy and I went to the store and I picked out a pink tipped carnation for Laree and said that grammy would think it was beautiful. I told the checker that the flower was for Reeree and kept saying to mommy that she was in heaven with Jesus and Molly. We went to visit Laree's grave and gave her the flower. Mommy can't believe that it has been four years, it still very surreal and there are days she can't even wrap her brain around that fact that Reeree is gone. Right now mom really misses her security blanket. We went over to grammy's house after that and while we were there, I got out some starburst and said that they were for my best buddies, grammy a baba. When we got home, grammy had left us Valentine's Day gifts. I got a balloon with a Dalmatian dog on it and a little stuffed Dalmatian. I keep saying that I want a PJ puppy, as influenced by 101 Dalmatians. I kept saying how much I loved it and took it to bed with me.

We had MDFF, I usually get velvet mints, but I said that today I didn't want chocolate, I just wanted to share mommy's ice cream with her. After that we stopped by grammy's work and gave her some velvet mints. When we got home I played with the neighbor kids for a little while.

I spent the weekend with daddy and nana sent me a Valentine's Day package!

Mommy was making breakfast this morning and then took it downstairs. The first thing that she saw was that cut up her white out tape. Then she looked over and what do you think she saw? Well, mommy knew that it wasn't a matter of if, but a matter of when. I cut my hair. So she had to give me bangs to try and fix was I did. When she was finished I very enthusiastically thanked her for the hair cut and said that I loved it. She then had a discussion with me about it and told me that only she could cut my hair and that I couldn't. Then a couple of times during the day she quizzed me on it and asked me what she told me about the scissors. I would say that only mommy and not Sadie.

I got up really early this morning and didn't go back to sleep, which always means mommy is running on low sleep. While I was in mommy's bed, I was talking to the dogs and told Maggie that Sandy was my best friend and then later in the day told Maggie that she was my best friend. Baba took all us girls out to dinner for Valentine's Day!

I woke up in the middle of the night and when mom went in to see what I wanted, I said I wanted her blanket on. So she put it on me. Then I said that I wanted a granola bar. She got me one and when she left my room I was eating it, but my eyes were still closed. It wasn't in my bed this morning so either I ate it or the dogs did. Eventually I got in bed with mom, but I slept for a while, so that was good.

We went and visited baba at work. After that mommy took me to the park! On our way home we stopped and got a treat and on our way out I said, "This is a beautiful day". After I ate dinner mom let me play some computer games before bed and I asked mommy what games she would like to play. I'm just trying to be thoughtful :).

When mom was upstairs getting ready to work out she heard me sounding unhappy downstairs. She went to see what was going on and I had pooped all over the floor and all over myself. She got it and me all cleaned up. Then asked me where I was going to poop the next time I needed to and I said, "On the floor", then smiled mischievously. Later she was relaying the story to grammy and again asked me where I was going to poop and I said, "outside", lol. It was a really nice day today, so mommy decided to get my flip flops out. When she did, I said, "That's amazing". Later I was on the phone with grandpa telling him over and over that I had my flip flops on. Baba went with us to MDFF and when we were leaving I told him to come see us when he loves us. Mom had an appointment in Boise and decided to take me to the Discovery center before it, grammy came with us. When we finally got there as luck would have it, I was sound asleep. Later on mom took me to the bathroom and I told her that she looked fabulous. Then when we got in the car, I told mom that there was bird poop on her window and then said, "Those darn birds." On our way home, grammy was telling mom a story about a crazy lady driver and Sadie said, "Crazy lady driver like Cruella DeVille."

I went to get something for mommy and told her, "Coming right up".

I went to a church meeting with mommy and when they were getting started, out of the blue, I raised my hand and said, "Oh, me, me, me!" Brother Howard said that we all needed to be that enthusiastic to volunteer. Then in the middle of the meeting, I walked into the middle of the room, picked up my dress, and picked my wedgies. Hey, it had to be done, I couldn't help it if it was in a room full of people. I suppose though that I didn't really need to walk into the center of the room. I'll take this into consideration the next time I'm in that kind of situation. When sacrament meeting was starting I kept say that I wanted to go home and then fell asleep. On our way home, mom called grammy and it sounded like she had a cold. So mom asked her if she was sick. When mom got off the phone I asked mom if grammy was ok. She said that she was ok, she just had a frog in her throat. I said that I wanted grammy to feel happy and mom said that she did feel happy. But, I said, no she has a frog in her throat.

I helped mommy make brownies for fhe tonight. The best thing ever happened today! Baba was working at the house next door today, so I had a lot of fun with that :).

This morning at breakfast I told mommy that I was Sadie Umphrey. She told me, no she was Sadie Jones. Then I asked her to feed the last of my cereal to me because it was "to tricky" for me. I don't care what people think, it's hard to get the last of the cereal on the spoon. Later I was saying that the dogs were silly little billy goats, like mom always say.

Mommy was showing me Eskimo and butterfly kisses yesterday. This morning I asked her for a butterfly kiss. Later on we were sword fighting with the foam swords uncle Clancy got me for my birthday. During the course of battle, I said to mom, "Stop that you dirty rat."

The other day when mom was getting me ready she told me not to be ornery. I said that I wanted her to be happy. She said that she was happy, so I said not to be ornery :).

While mom was down stairs with me I touched the shelves she built for my toys and thanked her for building them for me :).

Mommy was working out. I got on her elliptical, and said this is how it works and then gave her a demonstration. Just trying to be helpful. Mommy took me swimming and grammy came with us. We got ice cream and donuts afterwards.

Now a day when I see something I want, I says, "I wish I had a (fill in the blank)" or "I wish I could _______."

When I woke up this morning I was feeling good and said, "What a beautiful day" and repeated it over and over again all the way to mommy's room. Then I got in bed with her and said that I love her beautiful eyes. Baba came with us to MDFF again. When we were getting out of the car I insisted on having my backpack. Mommy crawled in the back seat to get it for me, got out and closed the door. Then she looked inside of the locked car and saw her car keys sitting on the backseat. Unfortunately her keys fell out of her pocket. Fortunately grammy had a spare key she brought to use. I kept insisting that we get the keys out until grammy showed up.

Grammy got me some new clothes and baba got me some ballerina slippers that I insisted on wearing to bed over my footie jamies.

January 2010

Mom put in a DVD for me, but I wanted to do it myself. So I took it out and put it back in and then told mommy that she was being naughty. Later in the day grammy, baba, uncle Clancy, mommy, and I went to get ice cream and to see Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakqual.

When mommy woke up this morning, she sneezed and from my bed I blessed her :).

I told mommy today that I wanted to go to the doctor because I hurt my arm.

I had the orange peeler and said, "Mom, this fits in my nose." Mommy said not to put things in my nose, I don't know why, it's a rather pleasant sensation if you ask me.

I went to activities day with grammy and mommy and had a lot of fun playing with the girls, I especially liked playing upset the fruit basket. I kept standing in the middle and saying, "Oranges!" Later we were at grammy's and I went came up to mom and said, "I kicked grandpa's butt."

Before church started the guy behind us was saying hi to me. I pulled my extra pair of panties out of my back pack and said to him, "Look, these are my big girl panties." Mommy said that I should leave them in my backpack. That time wasn't as bad as another time we were at church and mommy told me to get my hand out of my pants, to which I replied very loudly, "But mom, there's something in my bum." The guys behind us had a really great laugh over that one.

I went potty on the toilet and afterward said to mommy, "You're so proud of me."

We went over to grammy's today and celebrated my birthday! After cake and presents, we went to Chuck E Cheese! When we got home mom put together the doll house she got me for my birthday. I also got foam swords from Clancy, $100 for savings from baba, and clothes from grammy. What a day. Mom can't believe that I'm already three, but is as crazy about me as ever.

When I went down stairs this morning mom pointed out to me that she put my doll house together and I got a surprised look on my face and then went over to it and was picking things up saying "lovely".

When I got up this morning, I told mommy that my peepee was yellow, lol. 101 Dalmatians was on, which I have been binging on, and I said, "Oh my gracious," because I was concerned about what was going on in the movie. Now that I watch that movie all of the time I keeps telling mommy that I want to go to the pet store and get a PJ puppy. I went and had my three year pictures done today and it went much better than last year.

I pointed to my cheek and said to mommy, "Do you have a kiss for my cheek?" And of course she did :).

I was having so much fun in the nursery at church today that I didn't want to leave. I've been saying a lot lately, "Let's go both together" and "Can I ride on your back?"

Mommy was feeding me some yogurt and I said that I wanted to taste it, which means I want to put my finger in it to get some on my finger and then eat it. So I did that and then I put what was on my finger and put it on my toe and then licked it off my toe. Mom said not to eat food off my toes, yet again, I don’t' understand this.

I heard mommy making an appointment for my three year check up a few days ago. So when I came into mom's room this morning I asked her if I could go to the doctor today. She told me that we would go to the doctor tomorrow and that today we were going to grammy's. So I said, "ok, not now, but later".

I finally got to go to the doctor today, I've been waiting all week. Everything went well. I'm 38 pounds and 40 inches, that puts me in the 95% for height and weight. Mom keeps telling me that I'm too big to carry, I guess she's right, who knew. The doctor said that I had really good teeth and complimented my lips :). She suggested that mom start giving me skimmed milk, that I eat all my meals at the dinner table, and to try to get me to eat as healthy as I can.

When we walk from the garage to the house when it's dark, I always say that I'm scared. Mommy always tells me that I don't have to be afraid because she's with me to protect me and keep me safe and that she wouldn't let me get hurt. So today I told her not to be afraid and that I would keep her safe.

We drove to Utah today so that I can visit daddy! All the way there I kept saying I wanted to see daddy. When daddy dropped me off to go home the next day, mommy was trying to put me to bed, I told her that she was brave and wanted her to feed me my sippy like she did when I was a baby.

I wanted to play a game on the computer this morning and while I was trying to decide I said, "Think, think" like in Winnie the Pooh. I also says a lot, "not quit" and "let's go both together" or asks a question and ends it with "or something."

I got in bed with mommy at 3:00 am, shortly after that I sat up and turned on her radio. She turned it off and told me it was sleep time. So then I started to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider, she shhhhed me and so I started to whisper the song. While we were at grammy's today I was behind mommy and wrapped my arms around her and then said which hand and put them both in front of her. She picked a hand and there wasn't anything in it, so she picked the other hand and there wasn't anything in that on either, lol.

I was in the bath tub and freaked out because some ants got into the water and was saying that the ants were going to kill me. Mommy keeps reassuring me that I don't need to be scared of aunts, but I not about to listen to her.

It's been quit the day, I have had a cold for a few days, had diarrhea during the day, and for the grand finally I threw up on my bed.
Maggie chewed up one of my toys. I asked mom if I could talk to Maggie about it. She said that I could, so I went to Maggie put my arm around her and had a discussion with her in a very sweet tone. It was hilarious according to mommy.

December 2009

Mommy and I took dogs on a walk. Today I said, fantastic and shucks. I wanted grandma to come over, so she did for a little while. I went to bed early because my ear is bothering me. Then I woke up crying, mommy couldn't find anything that helped me, then finally she took me into the living room and read me some books and I cheered right up. There's a dog on one of the Christmas figurines so I said, "Daddy is taking care of Sandy, and Jesus is taking care of Molly and PJ, he's a sweet Jesus." Mommy told me grammy gave her the figurine. Then because she told me that grandma went home when I asked where grandma was, I went to the window and said, "Thank you grandma outside." We were in the bathroom and mommy was getting me ready to put me back in bed and I hoped of the stool and hurt myself. I said, "I hurt my sweet leg."

Today while mommy was working out, I said, "Grandpa knows how to fix everything." Just an observation, but I haven't found anything yet that he hasn't been able to fix.

Mommy changed the bulb to her headlight and I was being very helpful. I said, "Maybe we need the hammer" and then got out the hammer and pounded on some things for a while. Then I said, maybe we need this, and got the socket wrench and put it in a hole it fit in. Then I got out a little screwdriver and tinkered around with it. Finally I said, "I'm freezing, let's go inside." And just for fun I said to mommy, "You're kidding."

After MDFF we went to the festival of trees, there were a lot of pretty Christmas trees there :). From there we went to the library and then the park. What a fun filled day.

It was St. Nicholas Day today! Sadie got some toys, books, coloring pages, stickers, etc… We spent the whole day at grammy and baba's.

I have perfect the art of getting what I want and have started to clasp my hands together interlocking my fingers and saying pretty please.

During church today I kept saying, "Super Sadie to the rescue." After the closing prayer I asked mommy if it was over. I just thought I would check and be sure that it really was over, there are so many prayers it's hard to keep it all straight :).

Lately I have been saying, "Can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man." I also find it fun to hang over the arm of the couch and say, "Sadie over board." I also saying a lot, "Not quite" and "What you say."

Mommy built me a shelving unit for my toys. Now there's room for more!

While I was eating my cereal this morning I was dipping my fingers into the milk and then rubbing the milk on my feet. I'm might have just invented the next big thing in foot therapy. After MDFF mommy took me to see The Princess and the Frog. During one part I started dancing and said it was dancing music. When it was over I clapped and then when the credits started to roll I said, "We gotta get out of here." When we got home, we went to a friend's house and made gingerbread houses.

Daddy came to visit me over the weekend. While mom was taking some of my stuff into the living room to get ready to go, Maggie got out of the kitchen. When mom was trying to get her back in I grabbed hold of the gate, called Maggie, and said to mom, "I got it handled."

We went over to grammy's after church and baba dressed up like Santa Clause and came out and gave me a present and let me jingle his bell. I had a lot of fun. They tried to tell me it was Santa Clause, but I know better, I knew it was baba all along.

One morning I woke up in mommy's bed, and told mommy not to mess up my hair because it was already fixed. Later in the day we went sledding at the park for FHE.

I said to Maggie, "Stay out of trouble Maggie." Then I said for some reason, "I give up." We got a lot of snow, so mommy and I made a snow man and it was a blast! I insisted that the snowman wear my flower hat and called it Frosty the Snowman. Mommy said it was Frosty if we just had a magic hat and I said maybe my "magic a-boo stick" would work. Then when we were inside getting a snack and I said, "Do you mind if I sit here?"

On our way to grammy's I kept asking mom if I could drive the car. She told me that only big girls get to drive and big girls go potty in the toilet. Well, she had me there. While we were at grammy's I opened a DVD case and when it was empty I closed it, said, "Abra cadabra ca poo" and opened it again. That didn’t work though, it always does in the movies, I don't understand what went wrong.

I got up this morning and went to the bathroom all by myself. Then mommy asked me a few times if I was going to poop in my pants or in the potty and every time answered in my pants. So she asked me if I was a big girl or a baby and I said a big girl. She told me if I was a big girl then I needed to poop in the potty. Then she asked me again where I would poop, but I still said in my pants. So she asked me if I wanted to drive the car like I asked yesterday and I said yes! Then she told me that first I need to be a big girl and big girls poop in the potty. So I pooped in the potty all by myself today without any help. We'll see how it goes, I do really well with potty, but we're still working on poop. I was out at grammy's for a little while and when she brought me home, I saw that because the snowman is melting it's face fell off and I said, "Oh gracious" and then put the face back on and then said, "Oh, beautiful."

I was sitting on mommy's lap, she flicked her finger and accidentally hit it on the wall. When she said ouch, I asked her what happened. She told me, and then I said, "Can I kiss it" and then kissed it for her. Later I was playing with Maggie and told her that it was too dangerous to go under the computer desk. Then I said to mom, "You will never stop Maggie now." I also pooped on the potty all by myself and then mentioned driving the blue car after I was finished :).

For breakfast today, I wanted yogurt and carrots and I dipped the carrots in the yogurt.

When mommy asked me what I wanted for breakfast I said that she just wanted carrots. Mommy and I made cookies for FHE. For a reason unknown to mommy and daddy I've been saying that I’m getting a batman for Christmas. Their best guess is that cousin Jonah must have one that I like to play with.

When I woke up this morning I went to the bathroom all by myself. Then I turned on mommy's bedroom light and said, "It's morning, time wake up, cock-a-doodle-do." I gave the neighbor kids I plays with some of the Christmas cookies we made yesterday. Then we went to grammy's and while we were there I said to grammy that I made a beautiful mess.

I spent eight whole days with daddy for Christmas and while was gone mommy moved the big girl bed into my room! And I've have been much better about staying in my bed at night since then. Mommy can't believe how much she missed me while I was gone. And is sooooo happy to have me back!

November 2009

I had a great time at Steak Conference today. I dropped a fruit snack, mommy was reaching to pick it up with one hand while the other was wrapped around me and she fell off her chair, lol. Grammy almost lost control laughing so hard. Just in case everyone around us didn't notice that mommy fell off her seat, I made sure I announced it. Grammy is so sweet, she was helping me with my baby doll, so I told grammy that she was an angel :). Grammy was also impressed that when I saw a Santa Claus and called it Christmas Claus, that I could remember that from the Christmas before.

As I'm sure you notice I've been getting in bed with mommy a lot lately, and she's not getting much sleep, but that's just par for the course. Well, I got in bed with her last night and when I woke up I noticed that mommy had a band aid on her thumb. I asked her what it was and she told me that she had an owey. I did what any good kid would do and kissed it for her. Kisses always help me when I get hurt. Later in the day I announced, for good measure, "Don't panic!"

I asked mommy where we were going today. She told me that we were going to see uncle Clancy and I said, "That's a great idea!" Later on in the day, I told mom that she was my best friend :). We stopped at a store on our way home and while mommy was trying to pick out a coat, I help her with great input such as, "beautiful," "what do you think," and "perfect."

I decide to give mommy a break and slept all night in my own bed. This morning I saw what looked like something delicious to eat, mom called it a Butterfinger. She opened it for me, I took one bit, spit it out, and said that it was too scratchy. That naughty Maggie got my banana, but I chased her outside, going out the dog door, and retrieved it. Mom told me she'd put the banana where Maggie couldn't get it, but I insisted on keeping it and said that I would keep an eye on the banana, and then said that I would keep an eye on Maggie.

This morning I said, "Wow, that's cool." We met uncle Clancy in Boise with grammy and baba and saw A Christmas Carol. I just a couple of times, I won't say that it scared me, but I will admit that it startled me.

At church today, I was drawing a picture and kept asking if mommy if grammy would love it. Then I told mommy that Santa Clause is keeping grandpa's toy till Christmas because that's what she told me when I kept asking about the toy tractor she got baba for Christmas. And incase mommy forgot, I told her again that she was my best friend. I drove home from church with grammy and baba. When mom got to their house and I saw her, I said that I was so glad to see her :).

I'm not sure why, but one day mommy helped out a friend and watched a little girl a bit older than me and I had a great time. Then today she helped out another friend and watched her little boy that is younger than me and I was not having that at all.

I'm such a big helper, I helped mommy rake the leaves. Something new I've added to my routine is to say, "I think so."

I've got diarrhea :( and while mom was changing me I thought I would let her know a little something about what I was doing and said, "But I was just trying to help." After she changed me, I said, "This is the best day of my life." Mommy finds that statement very hard to believe.

When mom was getting me ready, I was standing on the counter, I patted her on the head and said, "You're my good boy." Mommy does it to Milo and I thought it was fitting for the moment.

While Grammy was watching me, I wrapped a rubber band around my toe and it started to turn purple. So what should I say, but "I love purple, purple is mommy's favorite color."

This morning when mom was getting ready to go, I asked her what the magic word was. She said please, and then in a dejected tone I said, "Alright". I was a little disappointed that she knew that magic word. I thought for sure I asked her a riddle I was sure she wouldn't be able to solve. Later I opened the door to my room and said to the dogs to get out and said, "That's unacceptable." Mommy says it to me when I'm being naughty so I thought I would take the phrase for a test run and I think it was a rather successful test run at that.

We flew to Utah to see daddy. I had so much fun, daddy took me to Disney on Ice and it was great! When we flew home and landed mommy said to me that she couldn't believe that I talked all the way there. The guy behind us started laughing and thought that was pretty funny.

Grammy watched me for me while, when mom came home and grammy was leaving I said to her, "Thank you for playing with me." To which grammy said, "It was my pleasure." I pick up on everything like a little sponge, soon after that we were in the kitchen and I said, "It was my pleasure Maggie."

Life is not fair, I just got over diarrhea and now I'm constipated. From one extreme to another, I find this highly unacceptable.

This morning while coming up the stairs I said to Maggie, "You'll never get it now" and "I'm going to put it in a safe place." Then I put my sucker that I was done with on the kitchen counter where the dogs couldn't get it and put a dish towel over it for an extra safety precaution. While we were at grammy's today baba accidentally knocked me over and stumbled over me. After that we were on the trampoline and I told him that he wasn't my friend anymore. Then on our way out, he asked if he was my friend again and I said, "No, not yet."

Mommy got really really really brave and is giving potty training another go. Because I'm such a good girl and I love mommy so much, I think this time I'll cooperate to the best of my ability.

I've been told it so many times, so I thought I would share with grammy that fact that "I have a cute bum."

While I was down stairs I told mommy, "I'm working on it". Then I was lining up the DVDs end to end on the floor and said "That was a lot of work." We were in the kitchen and I said, "Hmmm, that's funny" like you say when something is strange or unusual. Then we had MDFF and afterwards mommy took me to the library and to see the movie Planet 51. At the movies I kept asking if Clancy, grandma, and grandpa were going to the movies and wondering where they were. Before the movie started I said, "I don't do that tongue thing" and then made a snake sound and said, "Let's kick some honey bums" both from Mulan. I'm on a big Mulan kick right now. When we got home I said, "Calm down doggies." We had some time to kill before the movies, so we walked around the craft store. I found a box of dogs that you pain in the kids craft isle that I wanted. I was pretty upset that we left without it. Mom told me that if I wanted it we had to go home and get her money to buy it, I'm guessing she was hoping that by the time the movie was over and we got home I would forget about it. Before the movie started I talked to baba on the phone and told him about the doggie box. Then on our way home I said that when we got home to get the money for the doggie box, I would wait in the car while mom went in and got my quarters. At that point mom decided just to go and get it for me before we went home. The cashier asked me if I was going to put them in my room and I said that I was going to put them on the table and thanked her for the doggie box. I remembered that we painted the pumpkins on the table which is why I said I was going to put them on the table. I talked to uncle Clancy on my way home and told him about the doggie box. When we got home I painted them.

It snowed this morning and I was really excited! I said that I love the snow, that I wanted to make snowballs and a snow man, and had fun making tracks in the snow. During the opening song at church I was singing If You're Happy and You Know It.

Today I informed mommy that, "This will do the trick."

Wow, I can't believe it, we are on day four of no accidents for potty training! I am even going on my own and even dumping my potty into the toilet when I'm is done, mommy is ecstatic!!!!! There wasn't a single bribe that would work before, but now just about anything works, mommy's prayers have been answered :).

Mommy was re-arranging some of the supplies she has in food storage. The song Time Love and Tenderness by Michael Bolton came on and I really started dancing to it, I was shaking it like I've never shaken before, lol. Then mom went downstairs to get something and I said, "Where do you think you're going." After that mom was giving the dogs a bath and I kept saying, "Scrub a dub dub."

Uncle Clancy took mommy paragliding and I got to watch them fly. I missed the crash landing though, they landed where I couldn't see them from where I was. Well, mommy crash landed, but uncle Clancy managed to stay on his feet :).

While I was helping mommy get things ready for Thanksgiving, I kept saying that we were making things special for grandpa. I would ask mom if we were going to do something, if she said no, I would say, "Not quite yet." We had a sad end to a good potty accident free run and I had two accident's today. I almost made it a week, but I'm still doing really well on potty training.

I told mommy that her eyes were green, and then said, "Green like grass." I've also been saying when you ask me to do something, "Sure."

Mommy made a birthday cake today and when she got out the guide to roll the fondant on, I said it was a map and really really wanted it. When she was putting the dots on the cake I told her that I loved them. Today I also said, "I'm so excited." When mom was in the shower I changed the DVD all by myself. When it got dark outside I said, "It's dark, time for bed." I spent the night at grammy's as part of mommy's birthday present from grammy, to get some sleep.

Mommy and I put up the Christmas tree this morning and I had a lot of fun. The whole time I kept asking if it was time to put the star on the top. I put all the ornaments on the bottom two rows of branches and kept saying, "so everyone can see it" when I would put one on. Then we went to Grammy's and I helped grammy and baba decorate their tree too. I said, "It needs something extra special" and then went and got a paper clip and put it on the tree. Then when they were done decorating it I went and got a roll of wrapping paper and said, "To celebrate."

Baba let me take home a basket with a nativity scene in it which I slept with last night and when I went into mommy's room this morning I brought it with me. The first thing that I wanted to do this morning was turn on the Christmas tree lights. Later we were at the store and I saw a ring in a candy machine that I really wanted. Later baba took me back to the store to try and get it for me and kept trying until the machine jammed. I got a lot of rings, but not the one I wanted. So then he took me to another store and bought me a toy.
