March 2010
It was grammy's birthday today. Mommy spent all day making an adorable cake and getting dinner ready. I spent most of the day asleep because I'm sick. I have a fever :(. When mommy went down stairs to check on me, I was sound asleep in a chair.
I got in bed with mom last night. In the midst of not being exactly awake, I started insisting that the neighbor boy had my book. I then asked mom if she wanted to go snuggle in my bed. I'm still not feeling good today and threw up a couple of times.
I woke up crying and saying that my ear hurt. We had to go rescue grammy because her car wouldn't start. Mommy took me to the doctor, and I have a really bad ear infection. Mommy got the antibiotic for me and I had an allergic reaction. Mommy gave me some Benadryl and it cleared up pretty quick. We spent most of the day in bed because mommy is sick too. Baba stopped by to see how I was doing.
Mommy got me a different antibiotic today and I'm feeling slightly better, but not much. So we spent another day in bed and baba stopped by again to check on me.
It's a miracle! I'm finally starting to feel better. Mommy could tell I was starting to feel better when I woke up this morning. Mommy had her knees bent up towards the ceiling and I rolled my sippy down her legs and said, "Weee!" Then I tried to slide down her legs. But, my happiness didn't last long. Mommy told me it was Jesus' day (Sunday) and I started to cry. We were too sick to go to church. Mom asked me if I wanted to go to grammy and baba's and I most certainly did, that's for sure. I stared telling mom to pack her snacks and get dressed so that we could go. I insisted on staying in my jammies. Mom asked me if she could stay in her pajamas when I told her to get dressed. I told her no because she might get mud on them. But I relented and decided to let her stay in them. She had a good argument for her cause, since I was staying in my jammies, I suppose it's only fair that she get to stay in hers too.
For family home evening I made a card for Nana and Papa because my great grandma Jones passed away and I wanted to cheer them up.
We took Maggie and Sandy to the vets. While we were waiting I told Sandy not to move a muscle and then when she did I said, "She moved a muscle!" When the vet came in, I said, "This is Maggie and Sandy." I wanted to make sure he was properly introduced to them and make sure he knew which one was which.
When I woke mommy up this morning, I brought her a handful of broken up pieces of liquorish that I went to sleep with last night. I gave it to her and said that it would make her happy and insist that she eat it.
I got to spend the weekend with daddy!
When mommy put me to bed, I said the word humongous. Humongous is a pretty humongous word for such a small girl :). When I was at grammy's, in a conversation she asked me if Grandpa was a monkey and I said, "No, he's an old man." Then I asked where the ball was and said that they were at uncle Clancy's and he juggles with them. Then I said to baba that he was Santa, that I got to ring his bell, and that he had a soft beard. I have such a great memory that I remember baba dressed up like Santa and that uncle Clancy juggles.
Mommy took me on a bike ride and I had a lot of fun! I said things like, yippy-yi-yo-kia! I also said the D word today. When mommy asked me what I said, I very cheerfully repeated it. She told me that we do not use that word and that I was not to ever say it again. Good to know.
In my room this morning after I woke up I said to no one in particular, "Get out of my hat right now." Then when mom was in my room with me, I said to Maggie, "You mean old thing." Mommy was putting something in her wallet and I saw my picture in it and said, "That's the cutest picture I ever saw." On our way home from grammy's, I insisted that we get donuts :). I love donutes!
