I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

May 2012

This morning there was a song on, I was dancing to it and said, "I'm shaking my bahoodie." It was a fun day today. We had a picnic out on the deck, too the dogs for a walk, and went to ballet!

While we were at grandpa's, he was talking about how he couldn't start a job he has scheduled because they're waiting on the plumber. I said, "Why is it always the plumbers!?!"

Mom and I watched a couple movies together and then played some cards. While we were playing and she asked me for a card, I said, "I hate to say it, but go fish."

As requested, mommy gave me exercise lesson. Mommy was very impressed that I actually stuck it out through the whole work out. She thought for sure I'd lose interest and quit.  After we got ready, we went to the library and out for MDFF.

I spent the day with grammy while mommy was gone for the day. She came home to flowers planted in the pots outside the front door that grammy and I planted for her for Mother's Day. I picked them all out myself and helped grammy. There was also a card and flowers in the house for mom. She thought it was a very pleasant surprise and very nice to come home to!

This morning I told mom that I have some brilliant ideas. Mommy couldn't help but agree :).

While I was outside, I got a bunch of slivers in my hand. When mom was getting them out, I said, "I can't bear to watch." Then when I was talking about the Fresh Beat Band, I said, "But you think Twitch is hilarious, right?" While we were eating diner, mom was looking at something and I asked, "What are you mysterious about?" Later on mom heard me say, "Oh my heavens."

I had this burning question and just couldn't help but ask mom, "Why do you worry so much mom?"

I fixed my own hair today and then said, "I think it looks a little awkward." Later we were playing card and I was crying because I didn't win. Mom told me that we weren't going to play if I wasn't having fun. I said, "I have fun crying." She keeps insisting that it doesn't matter whether you win or lose, it just matters that you have fun. Though I disagree, she keeps telling me that I can't always win. What I want to know is, why not?

After mom finished getting me ready, I said, "I just need a little makeup and then I'll be done." I put some bows on my stuffed dog and said, "Don't you think she looks stupendous?" Later on I said to mom, "I love you in a very important way."

While slapping my knee for emphasis, I told uncle James, "You are one good looking man James!" I was watching something about the sun with uncle Clancy. I said, "I've never seen the sun like that before. I've never seen Jesus either." Apparently, very few have.

When mom put me to bed, I told her, "I love you forever and ever." She told me that she also loved me forever and ever.

While at the park today, we were on our way to the drinking fountain. I wanted to run, but mom said that she wasn't wearing the right shoes to run. I she said that I was wearing sensible shoes. Later when we were playing cards, I won, and was bragging about it. Mom told me not to be a sore winner.  So then I shook her hand and complimented her on how many sets of car she had.

We went out to lunch with the family. While we were there, I said, "Oh my holy gosh." When Mom was getting ready to open her fortune cookie, I started freaking out and begging her not to have one. I was ready to cry. Mom kept asking me why I didn't want her to have one. I said that I just didn't want her to and to please not have one. She kept trying to get out of me why and I said that I didn't want anything to happen to her. Then mom figured out that I was worried something would happen to her because that's how the mother and daughter switch bodies in the movie Freaky Friday.

I was describing a time my arm fell asleep and said that it felt dotty. Mommy thought that was a very good description.

I offered  grammy some of my candy bar and said, "Have a little nibble." Grammy said that she couldn't have just a nibble though and passed. Can't say I'm not willing to share :).

I had my very first ballet recital! Mommy said that I did very well! We went out for ice cream afterwards. What a fun day!

Mom took me to the apple blossom festival today. Anytime we were on a ride that went high, I would say, "This is the way to get fresh air."

I got a package in the mail from Nana today! I was so excited, that was very sweet of Nana and very thoughtful. While we were eating dinner, we were playing with one of my necklaces. I adjusted it on mom and said, "You look stunning now."

While mom was trying to get me to eat my lunch, she told me that I make her crazy. I responded with a very clever, "Well you make me bored." Seems like a fair trade, crazy for bored.

I graduated from preschool today!. There was a picnic at the park after that with my class.

This morning, I said that I want to be a teacher when I grow up because I like teacher. Later on, I came in from outside and said, "I found and object. You're not going to like where I found it." I found it outside in the neighbor's yard. Then I put a leaf on the table and put the "object" in the middle of it and put plums from the tree all around it. I said that I was making a "centerpiece". Mommy took me to the play the high school put on Twinderella. It was a lot of fun. Mom says that the best part about it was seeing how much I was enjoyed it.

While mom and I were eating breakfast, we played cards. I lost and when mom congratulated me on the game, I said, "Not congratulations, lose-ulations." Later on in the day, I stated that, "My knee pit hurts."

April 2012

I was so proud of myself today, I cleaned myself in the bath without any help from mom! I'm growing up! After preschool, mom took me to the park for a picnic and played for a while. Good times!

When mom picked me up from preschool, she gave me some flowers! I really liked them! There's nothing like getting flowers just because :).

I to my first dentist appointment today and I handled it like a champ. When mom told me that it was almost time to go to the dentist, I said that I was nervous. It turned out to be no big deal though. I even got a cute new toothbrush!

I decorated Easter eggs today! Later on while mom and I were watching a movie, I said, "Well that sucks."

It's Easter Sunday! While I was hunting Easter Eggs at home this morning, I said, "Boo-yah!" While we were at church, even though mommy didn't think I looked at all like I was paying attention, I showed her. Someone got up to bear their testimony and said happy Easter. When he said that, I said, "Happy Easter!" rather loudly and got a few laughs from the people around me. After church, we went over to grammy and grandpa's and I got to have an Easter egg hunt there.

Mommy took me swimming this morning. While we were swimming she was pretending to be a shark and I told her to stop playing her foolish games. Then when we got out, I said that we were in there too long. Mom said that we looked prunie and I said, "Don't you mean raisiny?"

Mom and grammy took me to the movies and saw Mirror Mirror. When we were getting out of the car to go to the movies, mom asked me if I wanted to take my sweater incase I got cold. I said that I did and then said, "In fact, I'll put in on right now". Then when we were watching the movie, during one on the scenes they were having a ball and everyone was dressed up like and animal. I asked, "Why are they all dressed so ridiculous?"

After the library and MDFF, we took some flowers to aunt Reeree. Later we went bowling, grandpa went with us! While we were bowling I said, "Watch the master at work". Then when we were leaving I asked, "Mommy did you realize I love bowling?"

I got to go swimming with uncle James and Karlie.  On our way Karlie asked me to do something. I told Karlie, "Mommy didn't tell me that I needed to listen to you, and do what you say, but I decided that I will". Mommy is very glad that I am able to make good decisions without being told to.

While mom and I were playing go fish this morning, she asked me for a certain card. I said, "I hate to give it to you, but here you go". On our way home from grammy and grandpa's, we got in a car accident. Fortunately the car was the only thing that got hurt, but I was very worried for the car and kept asking if the car was going to be ok.

While I was eating her breakfast, I asked mom if I looked suspicious. Then when we were playing go fish, I said, "I thought I had one, but it seems I have a feeling you took it". Later I said that I needed mom. She told me to hold on for a minute and I said, "You heard me". I wonder where I would ever get such a bossy demanding statement from, lol.

While I was trying to get me to eat my dinner, I said, "You mad me horribly sad tonight." Mommy can't figure out why it has to be so difficult to get me to eat and why it has to take to long.

After preschool today, we went to the elementary school and had a tour for kindergarten registration next week.  Mommy can't believe that I'm already going into kindergarten and can't figure out where the last five years went.

While I was brushing my hair today, I said that it's very complicated. Then when I got dressed, I picked out a little sweater to wear with my dress and said that I didn't want anyone to see my armpits. Mom and I made cookies. During the process, I said that I was grateful for chocolate chips. Who isn't!?! Then mom tried to get me to clean up my mess in the basement and I said that I love the mess. Later on, when we were leaving grammy's, I said that I couldn't leave without giving Parker a hug and a kiss. I just love hugging and kissing that "little cutie man" as we call him.

Grandpa went with mom and me to look at cars. When we pulled into one lots with a lot of cars, I said that there were a gazillion cars.

We went to the zoo for Parker's birthday! They rented a wagon for me. When I wanted to get back in it, I said, "Wait, let me back in my thing-a-ma-jig." When we got to the kimono dragon, I asked where its wings were.

When I got up this morning, I wanted to see the new car mom got and take a drive in it, so we did. I like the new car! While mom was putting me to bed, I told her that she is a life saver.

Mom was working out, and I asked her if she'd give me exercise lessons. She said that she sure would. I can't wait, it's going to be so much fun!

Mommy picked me up from my week with daddy. On our way back, mom had to pull over and give me a hug. I was crying because there wasn't a 12 on my dollar bill. Then I said that all of the stuff mom brought to entertain me was boring. She asked me what she could bring to entertain her and I said, grammy. When she was trying to get me to bed, I said that I was having a rough day.

After preschool, mom and I made the shrinky dinks daddy sent home with me. What fun! While we were coloring them, I asked mom to color one for me because I "had too much hiccups to color". Mom accidentally broke one of my shrinky dinks and I told her that she ruined my whole life. I'm so dramatic these days. I think I'm still adjusting from my "rough" day yesterday. Grammy stopped by and we went to the store so I could buy something with the money I've been saving and the money I earned doing chores when I was with Jeremy. While I was eating dinner I said, "I need some loneliness time mom".

March 2012

I amused mommy today when I said, "Boo-yah". Later on, I had my five year wellness checkup. I'm 48 lbs, 45.5 inches, and still in the 95%.

Grandma and grandpa met us for MDFF since it was grammy's birthday. After they took me to The Lorax. Then mommy made everyone dinner for grammy's birthday. What a great day!

Today, we went to my great grandma's to visit mommy's aunt Karla for a little while. It was a lot of fun :).

While I was eating my dinner, I said, "Milo is trying to frustrate me and eat my food." The other day I caught Milo chewing up a Kleenex in my room and I told him, "You'll never get away with this."

While mommy was helping me get ready for preschool, I told her that I wished that I didn't have a bossy mom. She asked me how I would ever get anything done if I didn't have a bossy mom. I said I would watch movies all day and do whatever I want. Isn't that just the story of every kids life.

I got to take the preschool pal home for a whole week and I had a lot of fun with her!

I put some of the glue stick on my lips today and said that I liked how my lips stick together.

On our way to grammy's, I was throwing a tantrum about something. Mom told me that wasn't the right way to handle it. So I just told her that, "I don't know the right way to handle it." When we got to grammy's, she helped educate me on the right way to handle a problem.

While I was doing my web cam visit with daddy, I said the word "Perhaps". Then I was drawing a picture in daddy's birthday card. I was very quiet about talking about the car and said, "Top secret, hush, hush." When dad asked how the dogs were I said, "The dogs are doing practically good." Then I described grammy's favorite flower (daffodils) to him and said that it was "a trumpet with a lacey collar." Later in the day, when we were at grammy and grandpa's. I was saying the blessing on the food and ended it by saying, "The end". When we got home, and mom was getting me ready for bed, I told her that I said a silent prayer for both of us. She asked me what it was for and I said that is was for both our belly fat to go away.

This morning mom asked me what I wanted for breakfast. I said that I didn't like the new yogurt I picked out because, "it has an unusual taste." I couldn't decide what I wanted and said that I needed to watch a movie because, "I always do my best thinking when I watch a movie." After preschool, grammy stopped by to play with me for a little while.

When mom gave me an option for lunch, I said, "According to me yes."

Mom has the impossible task of trying to keep me focused on the task at hand. While she was getting me ready for the day, I completely lost my focus and wasn't doing what she asked me to. She was getting after me for it and I told her, "You make my days miserable!" Someday I'll appreciate how hard it is for her to keep me on task though.

A funny thing happened today. Mom was in the living room and heard some scratching and a squeaking coming from the fire place. Long story short, when she opened the fireplace hole, e two birds flew out. One flew downstairs and scared me half to death. When I yelled for mommy, she told me what it was so that I wasn't afraid anymore. She was able to get them out the door, it made a pretty big mess though.

While mom was changing some light bulbs today and I told her to be careful or else she would spark herself. While we were at grammy and grandpa's, mom heard me say, "That's because I think it's unpersonal." She's not sure what was, but something was definitely "unpersonal".

Today at preschool all the parents were invited to story time. My teacher read the books that each of the students wrote and illustrated. Mine along with all the other girl's featured a princess, it was really cute.

A while back, I made invitations for everyone in the family to come over for a pizza party. The day for that party finally came and we had so much fun. For my next party, I'm planning a chocolate chip thing. I can't wait!
