I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

November 2008

I took some magnets from the fridge and was disappointed when they wouldn’t stick to my dresser. Tonight after grandpa got home from work, I had him get the back massager out, then she patted the foot stool and motioned mommy to sit on it, and then patted the chair motioning grandpa to sit in it and give mommy a back massage. I'm just trying to look out for mommy, I know she likes to get her back massaged. She spends so much time taking care of me, someone's got to take care of her and it may as well be me :).

Mommy tried to take me on a bike ride today, I don't know what she was thinking though, I didn’t like it at all, it was way too cold. I had to keep my head tucked down behind mommy to keep the freezing wind from stinging me face.

Mommy tried to clean out my ear today because I was rubbing it and saying owe, I really do not like having my ear cleaned out in the least bit. For heaven sakes it was like they were trying to kill me, or so I acted. I took care of the problem though and hid the stuff that mommy uses to clean them out, but she spotted me coming from somewhere with the pain medicine that was with the cleaner, so she knew I did something with it. Mommy asked me to show her where I got it, in hopes to find the ear cleaner, but I said, “No show you.”

There was a chewed up tissue on the floor in my room, I pointed at it and said Mag Pie. I know which dog does what naughty thing, you can't pull on over on me.

Mommy took me to the doctors to confirm that I have an ear infection and got me some medicine for it. After that we picked up daddy at the air port and he and I got dropped off at their hotel we daddy and I are staying in for the weekend.

I have now started to say "ewe" and in proper context to :). I was watched a dancing show with grandma while sitting on my hippo seat aunt Jenny gave me and said “Shake it, shake it.” I also pointed at my Winnie the Pooh calendar and said "Pooh and Piglet".

Lately I've been holding something up to my eye and saying, “I see you.” I took my baby doll, put it in my fish tunnel, looked through the mesh part, and said, “I see you.” :)

While grandma was watching me today grandma burped and she swears that I said, “Excuse you belch beast.” I watching the home video of myself and then insisted on having my purse like I had in the video.

Mommy and I were brushing our teeth this morning and I was trying to do everything that mommy was doing, so when she spit in the sink I tried to, but it was just a little string of slobber. I'll get the hang of this tooth brushing thing, I'm sure like everything else, it takes practice. At least I get to learn from the master.

I was teasing the dogs with a dog biscuit today and laughing. I would move it all around and watch them follow it with their eyes or try and get it, and then I would laugh even more, or I would walk around with it trailing behind me and enjoyed them following me. Those dogs are so gullible.

I was in the living room with mommy and said, “Grandpa.” Mommy told me that he was in his room and then I said (to him), “I’m coming.” I figured it was only right to give him fair warning.

I had a flashlight and shined it on my doll and said, baby, then did the same for her ball and her car. I was spotlighting them I suppose.

I have started using my own made up sign language for tootsie roll. I touch my thumb and pointer finger together on both hands, put them together, and then twists them back and forth like you do when you are unwrapping a tootsie roll. Mommy figured out what I meant, so when grandpa asked what I meant when I do that she was able to enlighten him.

I was sitting on the couch with my doll, reading to it, and using my dolls hand to point to the elephants while I counted them, but I just kept saying seven and nine. I haven't quite figured out the rest of the numbers yet, but I really like seven and nine.

This morning I was in my crib and grandma was in the kitchen. She sneezed and I said “Bless you.” Then mommy was making me a pancake and asked me if I was ready to eat my pancake, I folded my arms and insisted that we have a blessing. Earlier I was lying on the floor with a book upside down, “reading” it, and following along with her finger.

Mommy and daddy met in Twin Falls today so that he could take me to Utah for Thanksgiving. While I was gone mommy had a birthday. It was a bitter sweet birthday for her, on the one had she's never been happier, but on the other hand it was really difficult for her to officially have out lived her older sister.
