I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

August 2008

Uncle Clancy taught me how to do a WWF move, by hitting my elbow to my hand :).

I have recently added "good job" to my rotation of words I use. Mommy's cousin Golden was looking for his pill pack and asked me if I knew where it was. I pointed at the couch and jibber jabbered. Golden looked in between the cushions where I pointed and loan behold there it was.

I have successfully for the first time in my life gone potty in my potty training toilet! I'm not sure what is so exciting about it, but mommy is ecstatic and mentioned something about not having to change diapers anymore once I'm potty trained.

We were watching America's Got Talent. Mommy asked me if I wanted to be on it and I said yes and then started to shake my groove thang. Later she asked me again if I wanted to be on the show and I said yes again. She asked me what my talent was going to be and I started to do the "mark it with a b" part of patty cake.

I not only had new words to the mix, but I also add new sounds and have started to make a monkey sound every time I see a monkey or hear the word said. I did add "thank you" also and have found this most helpful when I'm given something that I wanted. It seems like I say just about a new word every day and repeat almost everything others say to me and copies everything others do.

Daddy and grandma Jolene came to see me for the weekend. Daddy also brought Sandy for mommy to keep until he finds a place of his own.

I'm such a genius. They try and test my smarts and I get them every time. When they ask me where my eye, nose, mouth, ear, or belly button is, I will point to it. They think they can pull one over on me. I will take stuff to whoever you tell me to, I'm like a little errand girl. Grandpa Bob likes to give me a dog treat and then tells me which dog to give it to and I always get it right.

I went to the park and had so much fun!

This morning I knocked on grandma and grandpa's bedroom door and said, "Grandpa?" Grandma told me that grandpa already left for work, what a bummer, I missed him. I was in a store with mommy and I stood up in my stroller after mommy told me not to and it fell over. Mommy picked me up and I had a look like I wasn’t sure if I should cry or not. So mommy told me I was OK and that it just scared me. Then she said, do you see what happens when you don’t listen to mommy and she had me there so I said, "Yeah." After that mommy took me into a store and bought me a purse, sun glasses, and a bracelet. While we were in the store I kept looking at things, pushing the stroller a little farther and looking at more things until I pushed it into a wall and it wouldn’t go anymore. Mommy let me pick out the purse that I wanted. When we got out of the store she put the bracelet on me, gave me the purse to carry, and put my sunglasses on me and I was just strutting around the mall like I was a princess and was I suddenly completely incapable of listening or being obedient in the slightest. Those items must have some kind of magic or something because I felt like a transformed person, like I was really something :).
