I, like most mom's, find my daughter to be both unbearably adorable and entertaining. So I decided to start a blog completely dedicated to her quirky personality. This way we can share the love with anyone interested. Being Sadie's mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, so I hope you enjoy The Adventures of Little Miss Sadie Laree as much as I do!

December 2008

This morning grandpa got me up and took me into his room. He asked me if I wanted to go to grandma and I said, “No.” So grandpa said, “Is grandma scary in the morning.” And I said “Scary.” I think it’s the morning hair, lol.

We had St. Nicholas Day today and I really liked opening my presents. I didn’t know what was going on at first, but once I got the hang of it with help from grandpa, I was excited. I started saying please ready for the next present and thank you when mommy gave it to me. Mommy gave me a bath and I liked the body paint rollers I got for the tub for St. Nick's Day. I had grandpa read me all the books I got and help me with all of the puzzles I got.

Mommy was in the shower, I was in bathroom, and mommy stuck her head out and asked me to turn on the fan. I looked at her like I didn’t understand, so she some more to me. Then I got a look on my face like the light bulb turned on and I said, “OK” and went and flushed the toilet. Hey, it was the best I could figure she could possibly want.

This morning grandma was printing some things off and I went to pull it out of the printer, but grandma told me that it wasn’t finished yet and to wait. When it was done the printer spit it out, I took it and said to the printer, “Thank you!” It works hard and I'm sure likes to be appreciated as much as the rest of us do.

Mommy and grandma took me to the ward Christmas party and took a picture of me with Santa Clause.

I was in my bed in the morning and in my sleep I said with a tone of despair, “Cookie.” When I see a snowman, I’ll point at it and say snowman. I catch on quick, I'm learning all sorts of things about this Christmas holiday. Mommy took me in to get my shots this morning. The bad news is, it hurt not only my arm, but my feelings. The good news is I don't have to have any more shots until I'm four.

Daddy came to Idaho and spent the weekend with me!

Mommy said "I love you" to me and I said it back to her! I have also started to say “Awesome.” Sometimes when I hug mommy, I pat her on the back. There's just something soothing about being patted on the back, I figure everyone would like it was much as I do.

Mommy played tea party with me, what fun! I was pretending to talk on the phone and then said, “Just a sec.” and handed it to mommy. I really like to stack blocks and am rather good at it, I'm also really good at the puzzles I got for Christmas. Grandma and grandpa say that I'm really smart for my age and I'm inclined to agree :).

Mommy drove me down to Utah so that I could see daddy!

Mommy bought me a sled and some snow pants and played with me in the back yard in the snow. It was so much fun!

I put on some socks grandma got and was hopping around the room, they weren't actually bouncy, but I had fun anyway. I had grandpa's belt, put it around me, and ran around the room saying "Giddy up horse". Then I got on mommy's legs with it and said "giddy up horse" to her.

I got lots of great stuff for Christmas and had lots and lots of fun! I especially loved the alphabet fridge magnets I got and wanted to play with them right away and couldn't focus on opening anymore presents. And I called daddy to wish him a merry Christmas.

The other night mommy was helping me go to sleep and I lined up both of my dolls, my sippy, and my bear. Then to each of them one at a time, I said some jibber jabber, called them by name, and said "night night". From what I gather, it's what you do when you put someone to bed.

I've decided to shorten thank you to just thanks, it saves me a bit of hassle, and I'm all about eliminating hassle :). I also recently started to say, "where are you?"
